And is it “corn” cafe?
Is japan more subtle or coy? Is the red-light district really adult fun? I thought they had the system like Thailand. That you pay a fee and barfine them and take them home. But these maids do not behave like that is part of their job. Educate us please!

Hey I want to thank you for this post, it's very informative and explains a lot of the nuances of the maid cafe but japan culture in general and why a place like this which may seem pervy, weird, or otherwise nutcase to a westerner why it makes sense and is a happy good controlled place that adds value and helps the mental health of people with just a little slice of an ounce of care and respect. I tend to follow the channel off and on but stayed subbed, I enjoy the variety, but it had become very heavy on the bars and cafes, I hope to see some more street walks, rikshaw rides, special locations to get a slice of life not always in the city but a bit more as it's very welcome when one can just not travel. Thanks for everything whoever you are, since I know you guard your ID wisely.
