Nose Onsen, an accommodation facility in the town of Nose, Osaka Prefecture, has taken in a deer that was captured in late March within the city of Osaka. On April 3, the facility announced that the deer’s nickname had been decided as “Shikayan.” On that day, Osaka Governor Hirofumi Yoshimura and Nara Governor Makoto Yamashita visited Shikayan. Governor Yamashita presented gifts such as “shika senbei,” deer crackers made from rice bran and other ingredients.
