If you’re heading to Odawara, you’ve got to check out a little spot called Ichiyoshi. The seafood is absolutely top-notch.
You’re in for a treat with their kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) shabu-shabu, fresh sashimi platters, and shrimp miso soup. And the best part? Turning that leftover hot pot broth into a savory rice porridge (ojiya) at the end.
They have private rooms, which makes the whole experience super chill and relaxing.
One important tip: it’s reservation-only, so no walk-ins! Be sure to book your table well in advance.

That kinmedai shabu-shabu into ojiya at the end sounds amazing. The reservation-only tip is good to know too. Was the ojiya your favorite part, or the sashimi?
