Tokyo Cherry Blossom 2026 – Ueno Park Sakura – 4K HDR

Wandered around Ueno Park recently to catch the sakura in full bloom. I got there pretty early in the morning, but plenty of groups were already out claiming their spots with those classic blue tarps before the huge crowds showed up.

I also included a bit of footage from earlier in the week. We checked out the exact same spot during a rainy evening. It was basically completely empty because of the weather, though there was still a small, dedicated group out there braving the rain to watch some live idol performances.

The cheery blossoms 🌸 look magnificent with Spring's arrival, with many people doing their outdoor activities.     Why do the tarps have to be blue? At least use a color thatΒ΄s not clashing with the natural beauty like brown or green.
