This Hidden Ginza Bar Feels Like Traveling Japan

Tucked away in a quiet alley in Ginza, we found a truly unique standing beer spot called 337ALE.
As big fans of both trains and beer, this place felt like it was made just for us.

Here, you can find beers from all 47 prefectures of Japan, with shelves clearly labeled in both Japanese and English. The walls are covered with railway photos from across the country, and even the snacks, like canned foods, add to the feeling of being on a train journey through Japan.

What really makes this place special is the atmosphere and the people.
The owner and staff are incredibly warm and fun, and there are lots of little touches designed to make customers smile.

If you’re looking for a truly local and unforgettable experience in Tokyo, this hidden spot in Ginza is definitely worth checking out.

  1. That was so nice! When we visited, I could not believe how friendly Japanese strangers were in little shops. The place we had a coffee in Kyoto, the place we had kakigori in Kyoto, takoyaki in Osaka, Thai food in Ueno, an izakaya in near Ueno Park. So many small places. I was afraid to enter because I didn’t know what I was doing, not speaking Japanese. But the people were open and welcoming. In the US, small places feel like someone’s turf. Don’t invade. Not so in Japan. So much friendliness. And so many special travel memories!

  2. What a unique shop, not only for its focus and contents, but also for the thoughtful way it's set up! Yamada-san and Sachi-san truly add to the allure and the ambiance with their cordiality and their passion for beer and trains. 337ALE must be Satoshi's paradise.😊Thank you for taking us to such a unique hidden gem! 🧡💛

  3. If you like craft beer, can I recommend Antenna America? They have 3 or 4 in Tokyo and Yokohama. The one I’ve been to is in Tokyo Station downstairs.

  4. When we visit Tokyo I like to visit the craft beer breweries and bars. I’ve never heard or been to this one. I will be for sure to visit next time we are there. Thank you.

  5. Do you have the link to Orange Productions on YouTube? I tried to search and there are a lot of them but not sure which is theirs specifically. Thanks!

  6. I’m Yamada too! Maybe cousin would give a free beer? 😂
I’ll definitely go there this year!!!

  7. Cute place and nice people. Love the "Hachiko Dog" beer, loved the movie Hachi but it made me cry. Good they have small snacks. Now you need a spreadsheet to keep track of the beers you've have and your reviewsS Glad this was not interrupted by ads. Hi from Oregon, Us
