I flew on one of the most luxurious flights in the world with Japan Airlines First Class… and this might just be the BEST seat in the sky.
Not only is this an incredible experience, but it’s also one of the newest First Class seats in the sky, launched on Japan Airlines’ brand new Airbus A350-1000.
From a fully flat private bed in the sky to incredible Japanese fine dining, champagne service and next-level attention to detail, this felt more like a 5-star hotel than a flight.
But is it really worth the price? And what do you actually get for a First Class ticket with Japan Airlines?
Join me as I take you through the full experience — from the seat, to the food, to what it’s really like sleeping at 35,000 feet.

  1. The Japanese are perfectionists, I’d be shocked if they weren’t perfect. It appears the air is on during the delay, not all airlines do that during an hour and a half delay

  2. To be fair I don't think that price is unreasonable for what you get compared with upper class UK to Vegas on Virgin. Great vlog as always

  3. I wonder who’s getting the window seats then tim 🤔 , thanks for a great video , regards to you and the family , Philip essex

  4. Japan Airlines first class is on a whole different level — the precision, the cleanliness, the food… it's just pure Japan distilled into an experience. 🇯🇵✨

But honestly, what made this series so special was how COMPLETE it felt. Tim, you took us through budget hotels, mid-range stays, and luxury experiences — and somehow it all tied together into one beautiful picture of what Japan truly is: a culture built on minimalism, attention to detail, and quiet excellence at every level.

This is the kind of travel content that doesn't just entertain — it changes how you see a place. Thank you for putting so much care into this series. Please keep doing deep-dive, multi-experience country series like this. More of THIS is what travel content needs! 🙏

  5. To those complaining about the title, as someone returning to YouTube after a few years, the title is key to getting people to click. The clicks are viral to the channel due to the algorithm. The amount of subs is irrelevant if the individual videos don't grab. That shag YouTube analytics tells you.

  6. Thanks for your video Tim, your flight looked very good amenities excellent along with the quantity and quality of the food 😊

  7. I've done the trek to tokyo (from maine!) twice now and those 14 hour flights are so brutal. Even worse that i purposefully stay up until night time in my destination and do not sleep on the plane when i'm traveling to another country. more than 24 hours no sleep the first time and our flight had 3 hours added to it due to a volcano eruption. I never want to be on a plane for 17 hours ever again. No thanks. Also felt on the toilets, i remember coming off the plane on my layover home and frowning immediately upon entering the bathroom.

  8. I find it Astounding That there's people that can't even Find a hamburger. Wishing they had a dollar as they're sleeping on a park bench. But this man always insists on taking A first class Seat and always staying in $3000 a night rooms, While?, the man in the park is walking around in his socks, hoping he doesn't get stabbed tonight. I think it'd be more interesting if you go help the homeless people if you have all this money instead of going in a first class ticket on a plane. And a $3000 a night room, and maybe you could go help homeless people, A n d maybe buy them some meals With all that money, you're wasting Wouldn't you rather help people in need with all that money You're wasting ?Instead of judging a little tiny bit of caviar on a cracker It's getting kind of old, you know what I mean.

  9. You´re such a precious man. We´re on the cusp of WWIII and you need a window seat and a mattress cover to feel good….

  10. You should do a 14-hour video of you telling us a bedtime story while we listen to the aircraft noise to put us all to sleep❤

  11. Thank you Tim very interesting not that I could ever afford that but its so interesting thank you❤

  12. I am soooo looking forward to flying on asian carriers. Every reviewer seems to regard them as superior in service and amenities.

  13. I never understood why business and first class always want to do tons of seafood. I think I’d prefer the economy meal and first/business class seat. The chicken did look good though

  14. Apparently, any concern about reducing our carbon footprint to combat global warming is just ancient history now.

  15. Tim, if you show these first classes, please show the best of the best of what they provide instead focusing on average taste, discussing plugs in the first class, seriously? Maybe you don't drink fine wines and fine cognacs, but if you make a video about the first class you should show people who can afford these flights of what exact cognac you were offered and instead of speaking about your milk for your tea in the hotels. Learn some fine wine, fine cognacs and fine food and less stupid pjs and plugs.

  16. good video as always. Thanks so much for making them. I would recommend you just order the cognac or other expensive alcoholic drinks and just have a miniature sip if you don't plan on drinking. Just leave the rest for them to take away. That way you get to try really expensive drinks you might not ever buy yourself and are you are getting your monies worth. Addition: Nice prolonged butt shot of the stewardess when you were getting out of the plane. Not 10 out of 10, but appreciate the camerawork!

  17. Thanks for another awesome video Tim. It's crazy how much money people will spend to spend 14 hours in an airplane.
