On this 3-day trip, we travel to the western edge of Japan’s main island to Yamaguchi Prefecture. We’ll check out Yamaguchi City and its historic streets, its stunning national treasure pagoda, as well as Japan’s biggest limestone caves and karst plateau, before walking under the sea to Kyushu to end the trip.

that intro 😂
I really wanna cringe, but at the end of the day you are just so genuinely happy, that it is wholesome 😂
Really nice. I used to live in Yamaguchi City almost 20 years ago. I wonder how much things have changed. I remember there wasn't even a Starbucks and you had to travel all the way to Shimonoseki for that….
I never met any foreign tourists there apart from ONE TIME and that was right after the big 2011 quake hit and they tried to get as far away from the epicenter, the afterquakes and Fukushima, so they ended up in Yamaguchi on their way to escape to eventually Kyushu, oh well ….
You forgot to mention Hagi. 😉
That pagoda and temple were my home base. I was there so many times and the river is not only famous for sakura, but also for fireflies. 🙂
Oh, you got me really nostalgic. Thanks for featuring Yamaguchi.
Love watching your travel videos and thank you for highlighting Yamaguchi. I will try to visit this city the next time I go to Japan.
You forgot to visit Hagi and Tokoji Temple. Such a mystical place. And Hagi is wonderful, too.
Raina Ong is the best !!
This is such a gem. I loved the cave and the sea views!🎉
Thank you very much Raina and Charly for the great video. Yamaguchi-ken has been added to my long list of places I wish to visit in Japan 😊.
Back in the mid to late 1990s, I ran the Hagi Okan. Running race begins in Yamaguchi and went to Hagi or you ran back to Yamaguchi. I did both. If you wanted to continue, you would then run to Hofu and back to Yamaguchi. I also ran a race near the caves but I've forgotten the name. Bottom line is that this video brings back good memories. Thank you.
This was so much fun!!!! What a espectacular places, and Raina's energy was contagious ❤
Better fly to FUKUOKA and drive back to YAMAGUCHI.
It’s kind of wild that there’s still places in Japan that Raina hasn’t been
Raina unleashed her enthusiasm this time! Wow, what a fun trip!
What a pity going to Yamaguchi without going to Hagi ,the UNESCO world Heritage area ,the place is a must see destination.
