Nogizaka46 is one of Japan's most iconic idol groups. Kikkake was never released as a single — just an album track. But it might be the song that means the most to the fanbase.
The MV was made during a 46-hour live broadcast special. As a send-off for a graduating member, the entire group spent those 46 hours drawing the world of the lyrics in chalk on massive blackboards. No studio setup. Just members, chalk, and blackboards. The whole process became the MV.
At the very end, the blackboard shows the group emblem and every member's name. Then, one by one, they fade away.
Every single person who drew on those blackboards has now left the group.
The song itself is about choosing to move forward on your own terms — not because you were swept along, but because something deep inside pushed you.
