Japan is a lovely place, and even in the demonic apocalypse, it still retains some of that beauty. Nioh 3 is able to capture both the beautiful and ugly sides of the events, and Kyoto is the perfect backdrop for this.

The once capital of the country, the Bakumatsu era (1864 CE), has numerous things to find outside the deadly yokai. Collectibles are certainly one of them as there are a handful of Kodama, Chijiko and one set of Six Jizo statues. Most, if not all, of this is outside the Imperial Palace, but it’s a nice view regardless. This guide will help you find these three collectibles in no time.

The iconic temple returns in Nioh 3, but it’s not quite how we remember it being.

Kodama

Kodama #1

The first Kodama can be found roughly halfway through the southern portion of the Kyoto Imperial Palace. This is outside the palace itself and inside one of the smaller sections of the area.

This is located directly east of the pagoda on the map and inside the area with a large roaming yokai and a ladder that goes up to the roof that will take you across the area. On the ground level, hit the rock on the edge of the well to reveal a Kodama at the bottom ready to be collected.

Kodama #2

For the second Kodama you’ll have to go all the way to the northwest of the region. Here, you’ll find a Dark Realm that needs to be purified in order to find the Kodama.

There are only five yokai here, some of which are hidden inside the building. After disposing of all of them, grab the treasure chest and then head to the eastern door. This was originally locked but is now open. Open it and check the cliff on the right to find the last Kodama of the area.

Chijiko

Chijiko #1

Requirement: Recruitment of Doctor Kusumoto Ine

The first Chijiko you can find is relatively early in the Kyoto Imperial Palace, but it does have one very specific requirement: recruiting the doctor to the Gambling Den.

In order to do this, you will need to head to Kiyomizu and overcome her quest by completing the temple and slaying the boss at the end. She will then move to the Gambling Den (northwest) and have a new quest: Doctor’s Pride.

By starting this quest, the gate to a small structure to the southeast in the Kyoto Imperial Palace region will now be accessible. Run over to the right and climb the ladder, and at the top of the building the Chijiko will be floating around.

Chijiko #2

The second Chijiko can be found along the northern edge of the cliff side that’s south of the actual Imperial Palace. The best way to find this is to teleport to the Imperial Palace shrine in the area and head west, hugging the cliff.

Eventually, you’ll come across a large tree next to a building. Look out into the abyss to see a waterfall across from you, and the Chijiko floating from east to west relatively close to it.

Six Jizo

For the Jizo statues, you will need to have access to the main Kyoto Imperial Palace shrine. From here, head west along the path, being warry of all the soldiers and cannons.

When you hit a big red barrel, turn left and head up the hill. You’ll hit a building but keep going up until you get to the next floor. To the left you’ll spot the Six Jizo statues. Just make a donation and collect your reward.
