This Edo Period Street Is The Perfect Day Trip From Tokyo 🍡

This is the Warehouse District in Kawagoe Town, Saitama Prefecture. Less than one hour from
Tokyo Station by train, this street transports you back to Japan’s Edo Period thanks to its well
preserved buildings and landmarks. 🔔

It’s also great for Japanese snack and sweets lovers, with food stalls scattered along the street and the famous Kashiya Yokocho “Candy Ally” selling lots of delicious Japanese sweets, including taiyaki (filled pastry shaped like a fish) and fugashi (brown sugar coated bread sticks).

Having been to Kawagoe multiple times, I always recommend @ugr_kawagoe for delicious umami
ramen! 🍜
