  1. Android users dont be afraid. Japan is also working on a Suica app for android users as well. I believe in 2026 or 2027 it will be fully released for everyone.

  2. Japan web does not work if your Sim card doesn't work when you land. You need to have screenshots of your qr codes ahead of time.

  3. i have no issues with paying tax in Japan i dont see the issue with that, when i was last there i did that. Also if i already have a Pasmo card should i get a Suica?

  4. @Toshi-Guide from Japan Hi Toshi, it’ll be great if you can create a section about where to go or how to make appointment to see a medical Doctor in Japan for tourist who need English speaking Doctors or for those who doesn’t mind Japanese speaking Doctors. I got sick on the 5th week when I was in Japan last December & lost my voice. I wanted to make an appointment to see a Doctor but not sure how long it’ll take me to complete the process. I went to a Drugstore to get medicine thinking that I got flu but not sure whether that’s correct illness. When I’m back home & see a Doctor, I found out actually I got voice cords infection not flu. 😆 Thank you Toshi.

  5. Hey there, potential tourist! We've got some terrific news for you! We're going to let you take five minutes off your time waiting in a line at the airport, and in return all you need to do is upload every last Orwellian detail of your identity, your plans, your spending habits and your moment-by-moment whereabouts while you're in our country, and then trust us not to lose it all in a giant data breach eighteen months later, which always happens anyway so there's no point in even wondering about it. Isn't that great? FIVE WHOLE MINUTES OFF YOUR WAIT TIME AT THE AIRPORT!

  6. A tip for people looking for compatible ATMs: Look for a 7Eleven. There are several kinds of ATMs and not all of them support all foreign cards. 7Eleven (7Bank) ATMs have the best coverage from what I have seen.

  7. Most of the changes will not affect me, when I´m in Japan in May 26. But I have one question: Are there any Welcome Suica cards, that are valid for more then 28 days? Or do I need a green suica card then?
Oh, and I have a life hack for Android users vs. Suica card! Just put the physical suica in the hard cover, that maybe protects your mobile and you can tap the mobile just like I-phone users, when using the subway!

  8. Then, now all Stores will be tax free? Or you need make tax feee comprobation in the Shop and later in the AirPort? In other travels not all stores had tax free… only in the shops that you find in touristics zones.

  9. my pro tip:
if you are not some millionaire, DO NOT use taxi. They are stupidly expensive. I paid over 20000 yen (150$) for 20km ride from an airport to a hotel. Only when I got hang on the yen value later I realized how much I overpaid

  10. 5:34 I was starting to think my country wasn't on the list anymore but that screenshot was instant relief

  11. @Toshi-Guide from Japan, Hi Toshi👋🏽, Do you have a recommendation for cell phone data services for travelers staying in Japan for several months? Thank you 🙏🏽!

  12. Don’t going till further notice. Overrated . Nothing to offer except militarism and can’t even remember and admit what they did in the past and still honour their horrific past

  13. I have been to Japan 13 times since 2011. I have used Visit Japan Web since I could first use it. You say there is no Visit Japan Web App. There is. It’s not fake. I used it last year and am using it again this year for my trip in February. It is only an App in the sense that it gives access to the website and allows you to enter details in (in my case) an iPhone friendly format. You can access the website (and confirm, as I have, that details have been entered) via a computer or using the App. Also the URL at 1:50 in the video isn’t the correct URL (at least not from Australia it’s not). You may need to update. Not trying to put you down. What you’re doing is great. Just thought it would be helpful for you to know.

  14. Is the Welcome Suica card usable in Kobe, Nara and Kyoto? Because I'm planning to travel to these destination too from my arrival in Tokyo. And is the Mobile Welcome Suica same as Suica, only available for Iphone device?

  15. I won’t fly to these countries with esta. I am not criminal . I won’t give any personal info. So I choose to stay in my country that I have a lot see. Even Europe with this system sucks. Finger prints facials it’s absolutely disgusting. The illegal get in much more easier than the law ibiding citizens. It’s a way to control ppl and it’s stupid how ppl find all this is ok. You know that politicians elites diplomats are excluded from all this . I wonder why?

  16. I've never done tax-free myself. The lines are always long and this video's right. It's a small way for me to contribute to the transportation infrastructure we always use when we visit.

  17. 6. Faster Traveler Program

We went through the automated immigration gates when we arrived last December via Narita airport. We had no idea it was new and it was indeed a fast process. We simply just had to scan our passport and take our pictures.
