  1. I can’t believe how well the pound is doing against the yen. I thought the new prime minister will put the Japanese markets at ease so got mine at 200 yen thinking it won’t go up much beyond that. How wrong was I 😂

  2. Just a note to those using visit Japan web, it is free to use. I've read about so many people being asked to pay on apps that mimic the real website.

  3. Looks like the Bank of Japan is going to continue to increase interest rates in the future.
Currently at 0.75% [2025-12-19] highest in 30 years after recent rise.
They are very conservative, so nothing might happen until the summer.
I got ¥200/£ a week ago for my trip in March.

  4. I traveled a lot in Japan. Never seen a bear… However, I encountered a wild-boar in Kyushu (near Aso). Fortunately, it was as scared as I was and ran away…

  5. Gutted we missed out on Pokemon park tickets as the website implied they went online at a different date to Japanese locals. We are going in Feb after being inspired by your blogs x

  6. Me and my friend are going to Japan in 2026 for the first time. We're going in September which I read is typhoon season and I was wondering what happenes with pre-booked tickets if – for example – the place is closed because of weather. Is there a chance to get a refund for tickets? 🤔

Just subscribed as I think you're videos are on point and love all the info you give~ Thank you so much! 😁

  7. The peace park in Okinawa is worth visiting, and Shuri Castle was interesting even before the reconstruction opened.

  8. Do you know the date Disney land starts their Christmas festivities? This year it was November 11th I believe, will that be the same for 2026?

    Thank you ❤

  9. Recommend getting the express pass for USJ. I didn't and I regretted it! If you get the more expensive passes, you are guaranteed to get into the Mario portion of the park, but if you get a regular pass and the park is full, they will refuse your entry.

  10. i like watching this type of video even though i have no plans to go to japan anytime soon but you never know!

  11. Heading back in two weeks (Solo Trip). In October as well for my birthday with my family this time.

  12. I'm hoping to get to Japan this year, right before the duty free stuff changes.

As for Okinawa, I haven't been but there's apparently some places with underwater ruins you can snorkel around. There's also glass bottom boat tours that go over them if snorkeling isn't your thing.

  13. so lucky and happy i went this year save me the hassle of tax free shenanigans but regardless thanks for the update 😀
