Japan Airlines A350-1000 New First Class Full Experience

[Music] Back to LAX. This place is a mess, man. So much traffic getting into the horseshoe here. Flying out today again on Japan Airlines A350 1000 in first class. A this is cute. Thank you. I love this little little good gesture of Japan Airlines. I am no longer a fan of LAX. I mean, the terminal here, especially at Bradley, at the check-in, is so narrow. It’s full of people. There’s no shops at the landside here. And I don’t know, honestly, how they going to cope with the World Cup and also the Olympic in 2028. [Music] Welcome to the one world first class lounge operated by Quantis here. Uh sorry about my negative mood earlier. I really hope LAX can regain its glory form because right now the passenger numbers, the uh traffic numbers are on the way down. So what I’m really hoping airport in the US can improve is the amenities and the restaurants outlets. Uh because it’s so expensive right now in the US airports. If you go to Hustle News, buy a neck pillow, it cost $40. That’s more than doubled than outside. A bottle of Coke cost you5 $6. [Music] Here she is, the A3501000. I’m a happy camper again when I see the airplane. Uh earlier there was a question, is the trip 7300 longer or the 350,000 longer? I looked up the answer. is actually about the same. The trip 7 is 0.1 m longer than the 3501000. But let me know what you prefer. The trip 7X or the 3501000. Hello. How are you? Thank you. This your first time? Yeah, my first time in jail new airplane first class. I came in business class from Tanada. Oh wow. The wall is a lot taller. So do you want to go? Oh my god. Yeah. I want to take a tour. Yeah. Thank you. [Music] Oh, this is the compartment. Yeah. Thank you so much. I’ll put it inside. This is our first class crew. Thank you. Oh, nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. I’m Sam. Nice to meet you. Thank you so much. People and the blankets like relaxing wear. This is the pajamas. Yes. Okay. Organic 100% cotton. Oh, okay. This is here table. Yeah. Okay. Here is water. Okay. Also storage. Yeah. And here is your cauldron. There’s a hunger. All right. This is very nice. Oh my gosh. This is many. This is the tradition. This is the tradition. This is beautiful. Thank you so much. I love it. I will keep it. Yeah. Thank you. This is headphone. Yeah. So, if you’d like to use this, please use this. But in business class, I use uh no headphone. I use the wireless. This is different. This one has as well. Same. It has business. Oh, it’s same. Okay. This one is amenity ticket for Japanese [Music] [Applause] [Music] cabinet. It’s this one. Oh, yeah. And wireless charger is this here. This one? Yes. Thank you so much. Okay. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. This is so beautiful. It comes straight from their heart and training. I guess it’s the Japanese origami. Um it’s like a hang craft. There’s so much amenities. That’s the beginning of a great first class flight. So there’s a soft pillow and there’s a more harder pillow. Really wide. One of the widest first class I’ve ever spin cuz usually it’s 121 and this A350 is 111. And it’s very high walls full of privacy. But I wouldn’t like to sit in the middle though. There’s no windows, right? I still prefer the traditional window sit. May I? Yes. [Music] Wow. This is Cheers. It’s interesting. They don’t have champagne as welcome drink on the ground. They say after takeoff. So juice only right now. Um from Dubai. These are the Dubai chocolate pistachio kunafa. So this is for the crew. Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you very much. Yeah. Thank you for the first time to try this. This is Japan going on time departure and I can see the engineer is hooked up to the aircraft. Stand firmly waiting for the captain’s instruction to push. Space and other devices that emit radio waves. [Music] So, as you can see, we’re holding short of uh runway 2 4 on the north side. Not sure what happened. Um is uh been about 15 minutes holding and uh there’s no traffic in front of us. Not quite sure. Maybe just coordinating the slots. Oh, I can hear the throttle going forward. We’re going now. [Music] Here [Music] come the real champagne chain. This is really nice. 2013 champagne salon. Uh I remember I flown Japan Airlines first class many years ago and I just love the champagne. I love this brand perhaps even more than Don Perry now or Krug. It adds a very crisp a very refreshing feeling. I love it. So earlier the flight manager came and presented the menu and asked about my meal choices. There was a Japanese set of woku fine dining or the western one. Uh and I noticed there’s a choice of sea bass or tenderloin on beef as the main course. I chose the sea bass, but she said actually the whole set uh include everything. So, let’s see how it is. [Music] Here’s the first class starter. Of course, it’s caviar. Uh pairs with a beautiful glass of salon champagne. Kudos to the crew. They took a lot of nice picture of me. And one nice feature is this, right? No headset needed. is actually built-in speaker from your headrest. When you lean closer, you can hear it, but when you lean forward for your meal, it’s a little bit harder. That’s why they also have the wire headset as well. Trusted source of stability and hope. I’m Marian Bashiri on the world today for BBC News. Wow, it’s very interesting. The cavier didn’t come with a traditional garnishing like the egg whites, uh like the onions. They actually come with um a bit of egg yolk here. uh you put it on the base on the blini and then you put cavier on top and then you won’t taste as salty as fishy. Um so it’s a very nice interesting combination how J serve his caviar. Sorry I did not like the cold soup. Uh first when she served it I thought it was a yogurt or something. Um it turned out to be kind of cold uh chestnuts cream or paste kind of soup. Feel like I was tasting like a salad cream or something. [Music] Oh man, it’s a struggle to finish all the meals in first class. I’m only on to my second course. Beautiful plating. Uh canalone with don pit. Also kudos to JL. The the dish when it came is actually hot. [Music] This has to be the last course. I can’t take anything. It’s got a beautiful plating. Look at that. Hello again. So now I’m sitting on the body seat facing my original seat. Of course, the design concept is to dine together as a pair. Uh I have to say the suite is so large here. It’s incredible. This is definitely the widest first class I’ve ever been. So beautiful. Zuru really so beautiful. Thank you so much. [Music] So, I’m in the front bathroom on the 350 here and changed to this uh Japan Airline pajamas. I would say very Japanese, very Muji like the colors. [Music] This is what makes Jel’s first class amazing. Apart from a wide bed, there’s also a chair I’m sitting on right now. So, the choice is yours. You can have a bed or you can have a chair or you can have both. [Music] [Applause] Good morning. After 6 hours sleep, I’m back here. The sad thing is we’re only about 15 minutes to land. I’m having a beautiful ramen right now before my gel first class experience ends. Uh but I guess if you sleep well on the plane, it’s means everything. Um I personally love the gel uh first class because it’s now much bigger, wider, privacy was much better. But I think the best thing is the service. Uh when I took a toilet break during my sleep after 2 minutes, I came back to my room and the uh bed was set again. It’s incredible. That’s what a first class service should be, paying so much attention to the details. And of course on top of that is the Japanese politeness and the efficienc one one and one. But I might prefer the ANA business class the room because it’s wider for a white guy like me. So let me enjoy my ramen before it gets cold here. [Music] This is incredible. This is really incredible. I love it. What a unique gift. I love it. Thank you so much. Thank you. I’m going to keep it. I’m going to keep it forever. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] That was so beautiful. I just love it. And we have a bonus. The ANA787 on parallel approach over the whole Tokyo city. It reminds me why I love flying. [Music] Thank you so much. Thank you, Ariad. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. Kawa, here’s my friend YK. He came to Haneda to see me. We’re going to take the transit uh shuttle bus to terminal one because I have a tight connection. Very tight connection. So, my journey didn’t really end in Tokyo. I have a connecting flight to Osaka Itami. It’s the last flight of the day, leaving at 7:10. [Music] How to do this? I think it’s just put on the belt. Let’s do this like this. Hi. Oh, thank you. Wow, that’s very nice. She knows I’m flying business class. She put a tag on for for this. Oh, 17 kilo. Yep. No danger is good. That’s it. So, my friend YK, he knows all the mileage and special deals. At the last minute check-in, you can pay 2,000 yen to get upgrade to JClass, which is a domestic business class. So, that’s how he helped me. And I was able to move from a economy middle seat to a seat, row six hotel in business class for 2,000 yen. Yeah. Flights to Osaka’s 10-minute late due to late arrivals. 10 minutes late. So, it turned out our flight 10 minute late. We have a quick tour of the observation deck at Haneda. This is Terminal One, Japan Airlines. I’ve been here 20 years ago spotting 747. [Applause] Wow. [Music] I’m arrived at the boarding gate. Uh, this is Japanese efficiency. 2 minutes through security and about 3 minutes walk. I’m at gate 16 here and we just started boarding. Heat up [Music] here. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] Hi, baby. [Music]

Join me flying on Japan Airlinesโ€™ new A350-1000 and find out what makes JAL First Class special?

Starting my journey at LAX, Tom Bradley International Terminal. The traffic around LAX is horrible, and the terminal facility is aged. Japan Airlines uses the OneWorld partner Qantas First Class Lounge. I enjoyed a full meal before boarding the new JAL A350-1000.

JAL First Class features just six private suites, arranged in a 1-1-1 layout. No overhead bins make the cabin feel more open. First-class suites are very spacious and offer complete privacy. It can sit up to 3 people. The cabin crew gave a full orientation of the suite.

After takeoff, the in-flight service started promptly. There are numerous luxury touches, including salon champagne, caviar, Built-in headrest speakers for immersive audio, and, of course, a double bed. What makes JAL First Class special is the option to choose between a single bed and a chair, or a full double bed.

During the approach into Tokyo, we flew together with an ANA B787 on a parallel approach, making it quite a sight. On the same trip, I also experienced a Japan Airlines domestic flight from Tokyo Haneda to Osaka Itami.
