In this video we follow The Mainline Steam Tribal Chief The Sir Nigel Gresley Locomotive Trust’s A4 Pacific 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley on tour in the North East of England back in late September.

We start at Heaton 150 Open Weekend celebrating 150 years since the opening of the depot back in 1875 apart from Gresley we see the other exhibits that were on show during our visit all generations that had worked on the ecml.

We have a close up look round the A4 which during our visit was drawing in the crowds & during our visit we booked in the gd weather as the Saturday of the open weekend was dretched with heavy rain.

2 days we see Sir Nigel Gresley arriving into Darlington Locomotive Works to take part in Hopetown Darlington’s Titans of Steam Gala.

The A4 was to line up alongside The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust’s A1 Pacific 60163 Tornado during the loco’s visit.

2 days prior 60103 Flying Scotsman from The National Railway Museum tuck part during the 1st weekend of the gala.
