5 Tips for First-Time Travellers to Japan πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ #japan

If you’re traveling to Japan for the first time, these five tips will prove to be lifesavers. Missing them will definitely lead to trouble mid-trip. Tip One: Buy a universal charger and adapter. First, be sure to get a universal charger or travel adapter, as Japan uses Type A plug sockets. And our chargers don’t fit directly there. I too had trouble charging my phone on the first day. Tip Two: Get an International Driving Permit (IDP). Be sure to get an International Driving Permit if you want to rent a car or bike in Japan. Because you can’t rent a vehicle without one. The license is mandatory. Tip Three: Don’t buy a SIM card from the airport. Don’t get a SIM card from the airport upon arrival in Japan. They cost double the price there . Go inside the city and get one from a shop like Big Camera Shop or Yadwasi. They offer the same SIM card for half the price and offer more plans. And there are plenty of other options available, even better. Tip Four: Buy an IC card. Be sure to get an IC card as soon as you arrive in Japan. IC card is a travel card type which you can use all over. In train, metro, bus, convenience stores, everywhere. With its help, your Japan travel will become very smooth. You will not have to buy tickets again and again anywhere. Tip five: Buy a travel insurance. Japan is safe but medical treatment there is super expensive. So, in case of any emergency, definitely take travel insurance so that you can go tension free. I have given these tips from my Japan Tip experience.
