Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. If your accommodation in Japan is exceeding over 57,000 rupees, then you will have to pay a tourism tax of 6,000 rupees per night. Now, what is this tourism tax? Why was this introduced and what can Indian travelers do to actually plan your trip properly and why is this happening? I’ll explain everything in this video. So, please watch this short video till the end to gain maximum information. As always, as you can see on my screen, 98% of you who are regularly watching my content are nonsubscribers, guys. We have already seen lot of videos. Similarly, Japan is suffering from over tourism. And to curb this over tourism especially with visas or just like around 1,800 rupees you’re getting Japan visa then it becomes really difficult for Japan to control tourists. Major tourists come from China and India that’s a known fact and for Indian passport holders Japan visa is just 1,800 rupees. Japan visa is so cheap that it is more cheaper than Cambodia and countries like Laos. It is that cheap. So everybody wants to flock over to Japan to enjoy its beauty and true nature that it has to offer. And one such city is which is really crowded and suffering from over tourism is Kyoto. So from March of 2026 in Kyoto, if you’re trying to book accommodation in Tokyo, you will have to pay tourism tax to improve the cultural and to store the heritage of Kyoto. When I went to Japan in March, guys, I went to Japan for 2 weeks. 16 nights and 17 days to Japan in March. And when I went, I can surely say that during the cherry blossom season, Kyoto was extremely crowded. Even Osaka was extremely crowded. It was so difficult to get a photo in front of Osaka Castle without 100 people blocking the way. It was even if you use AI tools to remove the people, it was not able to remove. There were so many people in places like Osaka and Kyoto. Yes, Fukuyoka had a very less amount of tourists compared to these, but they’re starting off with Tokyo and eventually it’ll be implemented in all other cities. However, it’s not been officially announced yet. It’s only been off officially announced for Kyoto from March of 2026. Now, what is this tourism fees? Now, if you’re booking hotels of over 11,500, then you’ll have to pay tourism tax of 240 rupees per night. And if you’re booking accommodations over 57,000 rupees, then you’ll have to pay tourism tax of 6,000 rupees per night. However, if your accommodation is not exceeding beyond 3,500 rupees, then you will have to pay a tourism tax of 120 rupees. It is in yen and dollars, I’ve converted them to INR and I’ve showed it to you on the screen. So now the big question, what can you do as an Indian passport holder to kind of avoid this? What I would suggest is guys if you are planning for cherry blossom season that is March the cherry blossom season is at it is and will be at its peak from March, April and May. Now during these seasons if you want to visit it’s better to plan early. Now when I wanted to visit uh Japan in March of 2025 I booked my flights in October of 2024 and all my accommodation during October November of 2024. So this is the right time to book accommodation and if you want to travel to Japan because it is going to be cheaper. It is going to be very easy for you to book and airlines like Japan Airlines I was able to get 51,000 to and fro which is an amazing deal. Now if you go check out Japan airlines for next month or after that I’m sure one side will be around 50,000 rupees. So it is very very important for you to plan well when it comes to Japan and even shinkans even the bullet trains you you’ll have to plan very very well and if you want to know inch by inch or matter by matter how to plan for your Japan trip please check out my videos please check out my Japan playlist you can get all the videos regarding accommodation regarding shinkansense and overall full tour plans and it is completely free of cost and recently I saw a tour company guys which is like giving 1 lakh 20,000 rupees for 5 nights, 6 days to Japan and I spent over like 1.5 lakhs roughly for 16 nights and 17 days. It is very important for you to how you plan your trips, how you organize your trips, how you can book it at a budget and not waste money unnecessarily. I hope this video was very very informative guys. Please share this with your friends and family whoever or your community whoever is traveling to Japan in the coming months. I’ll catch you guys in my next video.

  2. Dude cmon you talk as if Indians are contributing to the japanese tourism industry in a heavy manner while the reality is only 624000 Indian passport holders visited Japan while Japan recorded nearly 60 million tourists stop with your faltu propaganda that Indian tourist are major contributors while most most of the countries hate Indian tourists for their behaviour i have seen in your videos about boycotting turkey saying that Indian tourists are like God equivalent in Turkey and their boycotting is gonna lead to the downfall of Turkish tourism industry while the reality is that only 400k Indian vistors went to Turkey with an overall tourist arrival of 55 million so please for FFS stop saying Indians are major contributors to a countries tourism economy other than Thailand
