3 restaurants every Japanese person knows🇯🇵 #visitjapan #japantravel #japantrip
Three restaurants every Japanese person knows. They cover most of Japan’s 47 prefectures. Fast, cheap, and delicious. When Japanese people cannot decide where to eat, they often end up here because these places are everywhere. They are known as a Yudon big three. Japan’s famous beef bowl chains. First, Skia. It has a most stores nationwide. Their beef bowl is tasty. And here’s a local tip. You can even ask to adjust the amount of sauce. Second, Matsuya. Breakfast sets start from around $2. And their hamburg steak set is what I crave when I come back to Japan. Third, Yoshinoya, the oldest of the three. Founded in 1899, it started as a quick meal for busy workers serving the now iconic gudan or beef bowl. Yosha’s breakfast comes in just 4 minutes, while Sukia takes around 10 minutes from my past experience. Save this video for your next trip to Japan. Travel Japan together. I really think gyudon has always been a reliable meal for Japan’s working people.
There was even a time when you could get a bowl for just 280 yen!
Of course, I like all three chains, but Japanese people often debate which one is the best. Even within the TJT team, opinions are divided 🙂
If you visit Japan, make sure to try all of them! They’re all delicious, but you’ll notice subtle differences.
And if you’ve already tried them, tell us in the comments which one’s your favorite!
