Kitakyushu is the northernmost city on Japan’s Kyushu Island. It is one of those places that deserve to be more popular than they currently are. If you are thinking going beyond Tokyo, Osaka and other main cities of Japan, you must include Kitakyushu in your itinerary, as most of it can be covered in a day or two.
A good way to reach there is to board a Shinkansen (bullet train) up to Kokura station which is the main JR station of Kitakyushu city. Enjoy your trip to Kitakyushu and let me know your favorite place in Japan
