Is Sapporo Japan’s Best Food City?
Think you know Japanese food? Wait until you’ve tasted Sapuro. We’ve joined a local food tour to head into the izakayas of Sapurro, Japan’s underrated food capital. We kicked things off under the city’s famous billboard where we met our awesome local guide and fellow explorers for the night. First stop, a classic. After a big gay, we dived into crispy fried skewers, including buttery Hokkaido potatoes, because yes, this is Japan’s dairy capital. The weather was not exactly on our side this time, but honestly, we had fun with it, and it made us feel extra cozy. The next stop, a Hokkaido staple, an iseka specializing in Jingaskhan, a popular Hokkaido lamb barbecue. Our guide ordered all the recommended dishes for us. Grilled lamb sizzling right at the table, more drinks, and ramen soaked in all that smoky flavor. And just when we thought we were done, we ended the night at a parfait cafe with towering seasonal dessert and one last toast. This tour was so much fun. New food, new friends, and way too many good bites to count. Want to explore Sapuro’s like a local? Book this tour and more on our site link in bio.

If you were a local guide for your country, what food would you share with visitors?
