DON’T do this in Japan!#umetravel #traveltips #japantravel #japantour #japaneseculture

Don’t do this in Japan. For God’s sake, don’t do any of these things when you come to Japan. There are so many mistakes you’ll want to avoid, especially on trains. One sneaky trick is to remember that when a train stops and no one’s boarding or everyone suddenly gets off. You shouldn’t just blindly follow the crowd as it could lead you in the wrong direction. When it’s time to board, place your backpack at the front. If it’s crowded, stake your claim and keep quiet. If you want to avoid a rough train ride, have your headphones ready. Also, the train is not a jungle dim, so please do not climb on the bars. If you find that overwhelming, take a taxi instead. But remember, the taxi colors are the reverse of what you might expect. Green means occupied and red means available. And don’t ignore the vending machine indicators. Blue means cold drinks and red means hot drinks. They’re lifesavers. They’ll warm your hands in winter and cool you down in summer. After all, the heat and humidity in Japan from June to September are no joke. If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be not to come unprepared. Join us on our group tour instead. We’re going to Kyoto and Osaka.
