Kyoto is SO CROWDED | 1 Day Vlog
[Music] It’s only 9:00 in the morning. Oh my god, it’s like Disney. They are truly beautiful. When you’re walking through them, it really feels like you’re in the likes of Disney. There’s so many people here. kind of rose to slowdity of the place. So, we’re coming back down from the Tory gates and look at what we just missed out on. Daisy, this would have been us if we waited 30 more minutes. So, we’re going to be working our way up to that red building, going down this street here. Wow. All right, so we got to the top. Welcome to Kyoto, Japan. Oh, I just realized this is a tree actually goes up. Wow. Goes above. All the vines are above our head here and it creates the shade and then connects that tree there. It’s very cool how the buildings are literal straw top buildings here. So, we just went inside a Buddhist temple here in the mountains. Oh, this temple’s very famous. It’s actually very famous. I’ve seen this temple before. Kind of reminds me of the students wishes we saw back in Lan, but it’s way more international. Come here, pray. Okay, this is the nicest park we’ve been to since we’ve come back to Japan. That’s something like my dad would do. They’re getting married over there, we think. Okay, this park is pretty awesome. Come stumbled upon the surround waterfall in the middle of the park here. I think the yellow stuff is algae. Yeah, although that looks kind of gross. The ducks are cute. Just like in the Sean, we have the little step things across the little uh river here. This kind of reminds me of the Dallas temple. This is what I was hoping for when we came to about Kyoto. I like that. and all the different lanterns people buy for the temple. And we made it to the actual city. So, the ancient city ends here. And we say goodbye to the past and hello to the beautiful future. Wow, what a beautiful future we have in front of us. We were just about to go get some sushi maybe. But then we saw this thing going on. It’s a matsuri. [Music] So, we are once again at Sushiro. Show them in price. It’s 2,600 yen, which is pretty good. So much. Yeah, we have We’re on 14 items. It [Music] along the river bank here. I forgot the name of it. We just came out of the subway station here. Actually, this little trail down here isn’t so bad. I quite like it. He’s looking for fish. He’s just like It’s a beautiful. We’re just sitting by the duck river and there’s quite some ducks in the river and some locals here. A lot of crows flying. Big crows. It’s almost like we were teleported back to Osaka except there’s way more cars. So, we are here in Kyoto in the heartland of where a lot of really high quality mush is made. And you got a hoji cha. I got this bing su thing, the shaved ice. And then because I’m a simpleton, I also got the normal uh Okay. So, okay. So, we finally found a part of Ky that’s actually really nice. Look at the way they rake the uh grounds there. It’s very pretty. [Music] Look at that little guy in the pond. [Music] [Music] So, what is this pond? What grows in here? Cool. These are Wait, it’s a lily pond. Yeah. Wow. All right. So, we’re having a much nicer time now coming out of the uh that Yeah, this is really lovely. Kyu has definitely got some charms. So, we’re here on the uh I guess this is still the Duck River.
Kyoto is a beautiful city, but wow… it’s crowded. We set out bright and early to explore, along with what felt like every other foreigner in Japan, as we slowly figured out how to actually have fun in such a packed place.
Some things are a little compromised by the sheer volume of people, but there’s still plenty to enjoy: eating sushi, enjoying mocha deserts, wandering through parks, walking along rivers, and, if you’re patient, finally finding those rare quiet moments.
Just as the sun sets, we managed to escape the crowds and soak in some incredible sights — including the famous Bamboo Forest.
