Staying at Japan’s ONLY Luxury Hotel with Its Own Car Race Track
I’m staying at Japan’s only car racing hotel. [Music] I’m at Fuji Speedway Circuit and I’m staying at this hotel. It’s a freaking awesome experience and I’m actually on the circuit right now. Can’t wait to share this one with you guys. All we have to do is start from the beginning. Like I said, I’m at Fuji Speedway Hotel located in Shizoka, nestled at the foot of Mount Fuji. Although there are other racetracks with nearby hotels in the country, this one is the only luxury hotel in Japan where you can watch professional FIA grade 1 circuit car racing from the comfort of your own room. From drift cars, Super GT, Super Taiq, etc. It’s got it all. And because I’m hooked on Netflix Formula 1 series, I had to check out this weekend’s Super Formula races to experience what it’s all about. Big thanks to Hayyatt for the invite, but to be clear, we weren’t paid for this video. I truly wanted to see racing firsthand, and I brought the family along with me. After a smooth check-in, we went straight to our room, which I couldn’t wait to see. [Music] dead race cars. [Music] This is amazing. It’s so loud. This is truly an amazing view. I am blown away. So, today we’ve actually arrived on a Friday. The real races are actually tomorrow and Sunday. I’ll be showing you all of this tomorrow and all of the events as we go through this whole entire experiences I’m just super super excited for. But let’s let’s check out the rest of the room. So, we’re staying at the Grand Prix suite with a circuit view and king-size bed where Wolfie also got his own little bed. So, let’s check out. Wa! This room also is connected to the race course. You can see I believe this is a king-size bed. They have these all of these cool little details. It feels like a super luxury car. I love how they have like these switches for the curtains and for the master lights. What curtains? Oh, look at that. It’s all automatic. Huh. Amazing. And we have a TV here. And there’s actually another flat screen TV on the other side of the room in the living space. A nice sofa. And just making our way into the bathroom. [Music] Check out all this stuff. The amenities here are pretty impressive. To me, it kind of looks like opening up a model kit, but with a full skincare offering from Mikimoto Pearl and even earplugs. I’m sure it’ll come in handy for those who need some quiet time during the races. You got this dope bath as well, and you got a full-on Japanese toilet. Oh, look at this. You have like a little walk-in closet here. This cool robe. Fuji Speedway Hotel sandals. Oh, even a yoga mat. This place is awesome. What’s this? Oh my goodness. There’s two toilets in here. Crazy. I guess if you have guests come over, they don’t have to use that one. And let’s just check out this mini bar area here. Got water, espresso. Ooh, they even have Gaia Flow Whiskey Blend from Fuji Speedway Hotel. I think this is their own Shiozoka whiskey. Wow, that is amazing. Okay, so granted, so we are staying at this racing hotel. The kid in me is just like jumping for joy. And I actually have something scheduled because they also have a lot of activities here. So, before we do all of the races and everything, we’re actually going to do something that I’ve wanted to do for a while with Wolfie. So, let’s go do that. Now, [Music] my car is at the hotel. There’s a lot of motorsports related activities depending on the day, such as driving the track, drifting, but since it’s race weekend, I opted to do their go-karting with Wolfie to see if we can drive to survive on their tandem carts. You ready for this, Wolfie? [Applause] And yep, I pushed it getting faster and faster on each of the seven laps. Such a cool experience with my son who seriously wanted to do it more and more. Wow, that was so much fun. And you get to do it right next to the track, right next to the hotel. That’s awesome. Now we are headed to dinner. For dinner, we had to check out the hotel’s Robata Fireside Cooking Restaurant, which uses the freshest ingredients in season from the Shizoka area, known for its rich nature and top quality produce. And there’s nothing like watching the kitchen charcoal grill right in front of you. Wow, just look at this place. It looks phenomenal. And I just love the stylings of this whole entire restaurant. You have that back case over there with all of the sake accents, some of the car accessories. It’s amazing. Oh, and since I’m not driving, I started with a three sake sampler. And for the full dinner experience, I’m going with a premium Fuji course. Yep, I’m eating until the wheels fall off. The course started with a beautiful Japanese salad full of local flavors. Followed by a bonito tataki charcoal grilled right in front of me. Just by looking, I can tell how fresh it is. Dude, this the presentation is just immaculate. Has garlic on top, spinach. I wonder if I can do this in one bite. [Music] It has onion and ponzoo. And it’s such a perfect combination. Next, their grilled abalone. Such a beautiful texture and taste. You have abalone, fresh ni, and butter on top. just charcoal grilled the top of this just to melt that butter. Finally, the shizoka wagyu tenderloin steak. This is what I was waiting for. Shizua Wagyu. I like how they’ve given you some salt, some miso, and they’ve given you some sweet steak sauce. Dip it in some of their sauce. That’s melty nice. Definitely puts a smile on my face. Every dish is crafted to perfection and served with omotinashi hospitality that makes this experience even more memorable. All right, so here apparently they have a bar where you can do like a virtual racing with Gran Turismo. [Music] So, we also rented out a special private room at the hotel bar that has its own Gran Turismo 7 racing simulator where we could race the same track we’re going to tomorrow. I’m not doing so well. I’m like crashing apparently. So, you can rent this place for 30 minutes at a time. It’s quite booked up and and it’s pretty realistic because I keep crashing. My only wish is that we could reserve the room for more than 30 minutes so I can get in a few more laps. Wow. Oh my goodness. [Music] Good morning, y’all. What an awesome start to the day. Waking up. The sun is out. It is 5:30 and it is just beautiful. You can see there’s a little bit of a mist right above the clouds overlooking the track. Cold morning coffee. Start off the day. Wow. Looking a little bit tired this morning, but you know what can I do? This balcony is pretty insane. And it has all these seats. It connects the living room and the bedroom all together. You can see that this is well intentioned to have a party here. This is just incredible. So, today is race day. We’ve got a lot of stuff planned. I am so excited to do this. But before we start the day, you know, I’m going to go down to the gym, going to go to the sauna, and then hopefully right when I’m coming back, the family is waking up. And then we’ll probably grab some breakfast. Wow, this is going to be a good day. [Music] morning. One of the things that I’m like super impressed with is their wooden card. So, there’s probably like a chip in here, but they’ve like embedded a chip inside of this wooden car key, which is really cool. Just like the little details I just really love. We got this is our passes. Oh, look. Got a sticker speed. So, when you stay here, you can get like the racing package weekends where they’re actually doing racing. Card pass. This actually allows us onto the paddic and onto the grid and we can do like a grid walk and a pit walk. It’s like a nice keepsake, too. It’s pretty pretty solid. Track can see. Wow. It’s a freaking poster. All of the different racers. All right. You ready to do this? On your marks, get set. [Music] Wow. Oh, this food is looking amazing. Where are we going? We got a little room ourselves. Holy mother of insanity. This place blows my mind. Just right here, we have Mount Fuji just in front of us. One of the best breakfast views I’ve ever had. Look at this. Mount Fuji just right there. Just right freaking there. Before starting our day of racing, we fueled up with some breakfast. The buffet wasn’t crazy gigantic or anything like that, but the items appear to be highly selected for its quality and had enough for everyone to get something that they like. Michael was super happy with their Japanese style breakfast section, especially the horse mackerel tartar. The fruits and vegetables were super fresh as expected. Also, I love their fresh honey as well as their coldressed juice. So, basically, you have an option to get all these different egg dishes. Well, we got pancakes. Michael got the avocado toast. And I got the shoe cream BLT, egg, tomato, lettuce, bacon, and this is all on Holland sauce. I’m going to take a monster bite. Maybe have a little bit of a plate for insurance. That is marvelous. This Holland sauce is exquisite. That’s interesting. I’ve never had shoe cream before with actual egg, lettuce, and tomato. Shu. Oh, shu. Why do they call it shu? French. French. You guys know what shoe mean? Maybe it’s like this type of bread where it’s like crusted on the top. Either way, it is delicious. Also got a salad. You know, can’t start the day without some salad. Apparently, you can also rent those houses down below over there. It even has its own parking garage where you can park your car. And I think from the room itself, you can see your car like through a glass window. We are headed to the track right now. That is actually our hotel right there. Here is a track. So, from the hotel, you can actually walk to the racetrack, but there’s also a shuttle which takes you right to the main entrance in about 5 minutes. [Music] [Applause] And here we are in front of the main straight of the circuit. And it’s intense. My first time ever. And the formula cars feel like they’re going so much faster than I’ve seen on TV. And we’re pretty early on, but as the races head towards the end of the day, I expect the stands to be filled. It is so nice just being right here in the front row. So, apparently, there are several types of races happening over the weekend, not just Super Formula. And behind the grand, there’s quite a lot of festivities going on. It’s a full experience in itself. Countless food stalls, various motorsports booths, festival games for kids, which Wolfie absolutely loved, and even a pool for kids to cool off. It’s a vibe. This is such a fun experience. All of these car heads, people that enjoy racing. We played a bunch of games and I wanted to get my son a super formula car. I couldn’t find one, but I did spot some F1 cars. I found a formula car. You want to buy your Formula car? Yeah. Okay, let’s go. right here. You can choose. I was hoping he’d choose a Red Bull, but he liked the color of the McLaren better. [Music] Hey, so before we continue on, I want to So, Wolfie, did you know the car that you chose today is the fastest car in Formula 1 right now? No. Okay. So, we made it back to the hotel and they’re about to start another race, but this one during this time period, they actually have the Porsche Cup or Porsche. Porsche. Porsche. You guys are going to kill me in the comments. Either way, pretty interesting that, you know, not only that they do the super formula, but they’re also doing Porsche. Since we have the ultimate view from a room, and it was scorching hot at ground level in the circuit, we decided to take advantage of it and order room service while watching the races in comfort. This could not get any better. Got my burger, got some pizza. Michael got her lobster linguini. Whoopy got his curry. What an incredible lunch. [Music] [Applause] [Music] One of the best things about watching in your room is you can watch it here while it’s going on. But you can see right here. We’re still going at it. Come on. Charge. Let’s go. What do you think? It’s nice. It was so hot in the that area. So, to be honest, when Paulo told me about this place, about racing and everything, I’m not so into racing. So, I was like, “Okay, filming. Okay.” But like, I’m here now. I love everything about the hotel. The food is good. You know, a lot going on, a lot more going on than I expected. I’m having a good time. What’s also nice about watching the track from here as opposed to being on the actual stadium is that you can actually see the final last curves and turns so that you get like full suspense and then you have the final straightaway and you get to see who finishes. You can see if like they’re battling at the end. Literally, this is the best seats in the house. And race fans are actually allowed to camp out in various sections right next to the track. It’s so cool. I’m loving the race culture here. Next, we headed back to the track since we got these special gridwalk passes for the weekend. So, this is actually the back side of the course. [Music] So, I’m not a huge Japanese racing afficionado, but I think this condo racing team has a little bit of money compared to the other offices of other teams. Okay, here we go. Look at this. We are on the track. The crowd all for us. So many people. Well, not completely filled, but still pretty cool nonetheless. This is the finish line. Maybe that’s the finish line. Oh, maybe that’s the finish line over there. [Applause] [Music] This is amazing. Seeing all of these cars firsthand up close, man. Look at that. We’re right here. Check this out. These passes allow us to walk onto the racetrack exactly where the cars line up just before the race begins to see the cars and drivers up close. It’s insane. The thing is, these Gridwalk passes are exclusive to VIPs, usually given to sponsors or special guests, but since we’re staying at the hotel, we were able to get it with our hotel package. Oh, and there’s also a pitwalk experience that the general audience can purchase tickets for, but you’re not allowed to go on the track and it’s extremely crowded since anyone can buy it. Of course, we did that, too. But definitely the gridwalk was the highlight. It’s crazy that they also have the circuit girls here as well. And these are the seats where the principles sit. Let me see if I can sit in one of these. So, this is what it’s like. I’ve always seen like this camera angle. Didn’t know exactly where they were, but they’re just like right next to the pit. Look right there. There’s the pit. And then you have all of these screens plugged in showing what’s going on. They’re doing the national anthem right now. [Music] Let’s go. And we capped off the day of racing with a fireworks show, which of course we could view from our room. In fact, after the speedway fireworks, there was another one happening in the distance. Such an unbelievable view from our room. Wow, check it out. It’s nuts. The next day, we decided to check out the Motorsports Museum in the hotel. This museum is a collaborative effort between 10 domestic and international manufacturers showcasing some pretty dope cars of the past. You can see retro commercial cars, vintage racing cars, and even recent winning racing cars. It’s super cool to learn about how the racing cars and its technology evolved over the years. And you can get a really close look of the engines, the cockpits, the tires, and of course, the chassis. If you are a race fan, then this is one of the stops that you definitely need to come to. Plus, it’s nice that the museum was also designed with kids in mind. I can’t say enough about how fun and exciting this trip has been. I never got to experience something like this when I was a kid, and just so thankful that I can share it with my family. Maybe next time you’ll see me at a Formula 1 race. Seriously, this is one of the best trips we’ve had all year. Super exciting watching the races, getting to do all of the things that the hotel provides. If

Japan’s Only Luxury Hotel with a Race Track – Hyatt Fuji Speedway Hotel Review & Super Formula Experience. Welcome to Japan’s one-of-a-kind luxury hotel where you can watch professional motorsports right from your room. In this video, I take you inside Hyatt Fuji Speedway Hotel in Shizuoka, located at the base of Mt. Fuji, and share my full experience staying in the Grand Prix Suite with a circuit view during the Super Formula race weekend.
This is the only luxury hotel in Japan with an FIA Grade 1 circuit, offering front-row views of Drift Cars, Super GT, Super Taikyu, and more — all from the comfort of your balcony. From the moment we arrived, I was blown away by the amenities, including a full Mikimoto Pearl skincare set, earplugs for the races, and incredible trackside activities.
During the race weekend, we explored motorsports events, festival-style food stalls, and family-friendly activities, including kids’ games and a pool. I even tried go-karting with Wolfy, and we booked the hotel’s private bar room with a Gran Turismo 7 racing simulator to drive the same track we were watching outside our window.
We also enjoyed the hotel’s Robata fireside restaurant, serving fresh seasonal ingredients from Shizuoka, and tried their delicious room service while watching the races in comfort. A highlight of our stay was the VIP Grid Walk, giving us exclusive access to walk the track before the race, see the cars up close, and meet drivers — something usually reserved for sponsors and special guests.
If you’re a motorsports fan, Formula 1 enthusiast, or simply love unique luxury travel experiences in Japan, this is a must-see destination. Watch the full video to see what makes Hyatt Fuji Speedway Hotel the ultimate race weekend getaway.

A racing theme hotel that is full of liquor…what can go wrong?
19:12 take my money, where , how, I'm interested in visiting Japan and going to the Race Track
Paolo, I received your hot sauce, love it, and it is packaged very nicely. I expected the bottle to be a little larger but the strength of the spice is many times greater than what is sold in the USA, so I use much less. I used it on my eggs for breakfast. Thanks again, and I love your adventures and watching your beautiful family. Wolfie is really growing and is so cute.
It’s the Disneyland for race fans 👍👍👍
My dad passed away from Alzheimer's today is his birthday this video has me in tears man love seeing your content I miss my dad

My adopted dad and his dad would have loved to stay there if they could have left the USA while alive. They both loved car races.
Mf level up… only Hotels and spa for him now.
Paolo just casually left 2 month of my salary there😂
This is my favorite video from you by far this year!! As a car fanatic myself this is a guys dream vacation everything looks so amazing Id go crazy buying merch and geeking out over the cars!! lmao 🤣🤣
So neat that you can see the whole racetrack and races from your hotel room. Only downside is the engine nose bouncing off everything making it loud.
Holy cow. I never imagined there was a racing themed hotel next to a real racing track. Looks like fun. Thanks for sharing.
I bet the price for this is as high as Mount Fuji. 😂
It's so refreshing seeing Paolo so genuinely happy to have fulfilled his inner child for this trip!
Thanks 😊 guys. Really cool video. Now I gotta go!
@PaolofromTOKYO honestly, this is such a good channel, just brilliant!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
The Fuji Speedway used to held F1 races back in the day & it was even featured in the movie Rush.
McLaren…good choice, Wolfie! I always knew you were a smart kid! Great video, Paolo. Looks like you guys had a great weekend!!
Even better than anticipated. Congrats,
Paolo
You weren’t paid or you weren’t comped? Big difference. I stopped watching at that that point.
