Most Underrated Souvenir in Japan (ONLY $2)

The most underrated souvenirs in Japan that nobody talks about, part one. An issue of the weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Did you know that the weekly issues of your favorite manga come in a booklet this big and this pretty? Like seriously, like look at how pretty this Sakamoto Day’s cover is. Really cool to look back and see what chapters were being published. You can say that Gojo and Sukuna were fighting on your last Tokyo trip. Also, it’s really affordable, like less than $2. Stick one up at any convenience.

  1. I used to be able to find the US version at Kroger back in 2007-2008 😭 They were huge and I think I still have a few of mine

  2. I used to get weekly shounen jump back when i was in middle school in 2006-2008 way before Anime/manga was as popularized as it is now. I'm surprised it's not still around. Really takes me back.

  3. I went to a Mandrake in Fukuoka (second hand manga store) specifically to look for an issue from the last time me and my wife were in Japan

"vintage" Shonen Jumps might be just as cool for Manga lovers! find the issue from the week you met them, their birthday etc!

  5. It’s crazy how cheap mangas are in Japan while in my country one volume can range from 5-7 €
