Tokyo’s 3 Best Buffets -2 Lux Hapuna #travel #digitalnomad #japantravel #japan

Now, the second restaurant on the list is the Lux Hapuna in Shinagawa. There’s a Japanese take on fish and chips and a duck and salmon dish wrapped in bio, which was to die for, as well as some steamed muscles for those of you who like fish and seafood. There was plenty of meat, both beef and pork served carvy style, as well as some short ribs. Although the sushi selection was nowhere near as large as the Ginsa, the sushi dishes were creations carefully produced and looked and tasted amazing. The Jewel in the Crown is the dessert option. Oh my god, this place was dessert heaven. The only place in the world where I have seen anything like this was in Prague where they take their sugarladen little cakes and fancies very seriously. There was a matcha ice cream take on spaghetti they called a Mount Blancc and a Milfoy cake which is French for a thousand leaves that was out of this world. But the standout winner was their matcha sponge cake which they named the matcha opera. After eight visits to Japan, this remains the most delicious dessert I have ever encountered. It was stunning. It’s worth a visit just to try this cake. Now, the prices are about $35 for lunch and 50 for dinner.
