if you’re coming to hakon and driving here’s a quick guide on where to visit and what to do first park your car at the ropeway station for just 1,000 yen per day then walk to the ropeway station to get your ticket once you take the ropeway up don’t miss trying the famous black volcanic eggs they cost about 500 yen for four pieces and trust me there are super delicious the eggs are cooked in the natural hot springs and the minerals and sulfur turn the shells black this gives the eggs a slightly smoky earthy flavors that’s way better than your regular boiled egg inside the paper bag they actually give you some salt but honestly i just add it plain because it was already that good while you’re up there grab the soft serve ice creams too it’s a mustry treat after that hop on the pirate ship on lake ashi for some epic views next up i visited the hakone open air museum there is parking in the museum itself for 500 yen for 3 hours and if you show your parking tickets you get a discount on admission a nice bonus if you’re coming to hakon soaking in an onsen is a must and i totally recommend staying at wisterian live club verde nomorei this hotel’s got six different onsen pools to help you relax after a long day after your bath you can change into their yucata and walk over to the restaurants to enjoy a traditional kaiski dinner perfect especially when you’re too tired to go hunting for food holy cow alib baba
