One Of Kyoto’s Oldest Streets
Round one, cousy. We’re not going. Why not? Let’s go. Go check it out, man. Heat. Heat. Oh yeah, What’s going on? 14. Oh, Tim B. Heat. Heat. every single time. Already I wonder why they make How beautiful. on ice skate. There we go. Oh, Claudia struggle straight. Okay. What’s happening, jellies? Day three in Japan. Kyoto. Here we are. Kyoto Tower. Don’t know the actual name for it, but Nindic Nikki. Nit Kyoto Tower. We’re here. We’ve just arrived. I’ve got uh Albre Nata shirt on courtesy of Michael James. Thank you, Michael James. and we’re going to do some exploring in Kyoto. We are not the type of people that plan. We wing it. Sometimes we plan, sometimes we don’t. Today we are not planning. We are just doing. We’re going and enjoying ourselves. So, we’re going to apparently go to the oldest street or one of a sightseeing place where it is original Japan. And then after that, we’ll we’ll sort of see where the day takes us. We want to get some food, cruise around, take some photos, have a bit of fun, and enjoy what Kyoto has to offer. Not really. No expectations. Yeah, there is no expectations. It’s a bit of fun. So, come and join us on our day trip to Kyoto. We made it. It’s pretty old. pretty beautiful. It’s definitely very very peaceful. Very relaxing. Beautiful old houses. If you thought it was going to be quiet coming here, definitely no chance. There is people galore. But from having so many people, it’s still quite quiet. Yeah. Like with with having so many people, there’s not screaming kids running around. There’s, you know, people walking in kimonos, Peter Rabbit store. So, there’s still some like there’s a lot of these people walking around in clogs, though. It’s a lot of shops. It’s definitely very nice. Yeah, it’s different. First thoughts. Pretty cool. Pretty pretty cool. A lot more people up there. Oh, we should get iced. What are you going to get? Iced matcha latte. It’s first time I might as well try it in Japan. An iced matcha latte. Yeah. Cody doesn’t drink coffee, but she’s getting a matcha latte. Coffee. It’s tea. Matcha is tea. Let’s go. Little Miss Matcha. That’s definitely a a not so happy. Okay, so Ash was going on about how good match was, right? Try in Japan. Basically what you take to clear yourself out. Yeah, it’s not bad. But it’s tea. It’s tea at the end of the day, but it just tastes really, but it is physical. I don’t know if it’s really grassy or not. But, you know, you go the healthy option. I go the Pepsi Zero Peach. Trying this one out, which is like it’s not too bad. Oh, brother. Looks like diabetes on a steak. He knows what fried chicken’s about. They’re unbelievable. There’s the street, Claudia. This is the one. The temple shop. This is it. This is it. I can ninaka. Very cute. Very um very Yeah, it’s something that I think if you are around Kyoto or around Osaka that you should go and see. It’s very very beautiful. Going down the back down the Ninaka path which we started on but we went and saw the tempo temple tempe got him matcha. I got my peach zero sugar which is really nice. Said it was a an expo flavor. Yeah, I get Japan shot glass on the expo. Oh yeah. Right. But um yeah, I think it’s time to go to the next place. Yes, that’s crazy. We’re sleeping. Sleeping. Always sleeping. Yeah, Rickyu. Ricku is hanging out. Rickyu is hanging out. That’s the funniest thing that I’ve ever seen. Did you put that in? I’m going to. What do you even say to that? Like, that’s just adorable. I’m just wondering like does he like donuts or is it forced to go? I don’t know. I think he likes donuts. But he he looks like the Kyoto um what is it called? K mascot. Oh, those cats. Oh, those things. He’s looking like that. He’s just like he’s just he’s just cruising. Like look at him. brother. I’ve come to K just for Riku. Some sometimes the most unplanned things are the best. So, we came to what is it? Nzeki Naku. Apologies again for butchering the name. We came here and look, it’s a great tourist spot. It’s great to come and have a look and come and see. It’s a definite mustsee. You have to come and see it. But like seeing a cat that’s lying on its back just bathing in the sun, that makes us happy. Like that was cool. Ricku, I followed him on Instagram. Follow him on Instagram and uh we’ll put the the link to go and have a look at RKU’s Instagram. He’s got a whole Instagram page cuz I seen another cat. The guy had a cat there chilling too. Maybe it’s a I don’t know. But it’s just like he gets looked after as a cat, you know? He gets looked after and he gets pets all day. And he gets pets all day. What’s What’s wrong with that? Absolutely nothing. We just went to um you know like old town kimchi. Is it your first time? No, I think I’ve had tried it before. Where do we try? I I haven’t tried it, but by all means, go. Kimchi in Australia is like Korean flavor. Okay. The Japanese ones are different. Don’t judge me on my my skills when I’m not see I’m not that Oh, she’s already dropped some money doing it. So much better than the one in Australia. The one in Australia I couldn’t consume. It’s nice. Delicious, eh? This is the tongue. Yeah. Jeez. Well, your tongue poke your tongue out. Cow tongue. What’s that? Butter. Butter. Fat. No, I was going to say that. It’s a butter. Fat lad. Maybe not hot enough. Maybe not hot enough. That one could be yours. All right. Oh yeah, you can see how different it is. It’s all A5, but this one’s Cal time. What do you think? I like it. You like it? All right. Bye. Really nice. It’s good. Yeah. Nice. Yeah. the absolute gun at chopsticks. The queen of chopsticks. Look, I’m doing better than I thought I was going to do. Okay, pick up. Oh, yeah. You got like half a grain of rice in that one. We have our own personal tour guide. Hickory son has come to join us. She has moved back from Australia. Long story short is me and Hickory used to work at Nike together. Oh, yeah. You didn’t know. You didn’t find out. I got MVP. Oh, yeah. I got MVP of I don’t know, May or June or one of the one of the MVPs. But we’ve just been to Japanese barbecue, which is Hickor’s old stomping ground where she used to work. Mhm. Gone to do some shopping at the Disney Store. Of course, Yoda is very different from Japan. I think anyway, for me, it’s very uh Sydney. It looks like Sydney and Melbourne. Similar. Very similar. What do you reckon? Yeah, Melbourne. Similar. Similar. The weather at the moment reminds me of Melbourne. It doesn’t remind me of Gold Coast. It reminds me of Melbourne. Raining. Raining. Raining. We’re just walking around the streets here in Kyoto and having a little look see at some shops. And then we’re going to head back to Osaka. Kyoto is done. See you later. Bye. Hey. Hey. Hey.
