If you have huge luggages to carry at the train station but want to avoid the stairs like me, use either the Japan Travel Smart Transit app or Google Maps and make sure to turn on wheelchair accessibility which will show you the entrance and exit you need to take to access the elevator. Avoid staying in Shinjuku Shibuya and Roongi. These areas are known as Tokyo’s nightlife district and it’s not the safest to explore at night, especially if you’re traveling with kids or if you’re a solo female traveler.
