things to do in Osaka! 🍣 japan travel vlog day 1

this is everything I did in Osaka day 1 i flew from San Francisco to Tokyo on Zip Air stayed overnight at Toyoko Inn near Narita Airport then flew to Osaka in the morning this was cheaper than flying direct to Osaka or taking the Shinkansen from Tokyo plus we got this crazy view of Mount Fuji from the plane then we took the train to our hotel Koko Hotels in Shinsashi dropped off our luggage and of course you have to get okonamyaki when in Osaka so after a quick Google search we grabbed lunch at Dotoburi Ichiyaki it’s hidden down these stairs and it caught my eye because they draw on your okonamyaki they assemble everything in the kitchen and bring it out to decorate like how cute is this we got this heart-shaped one plus a cheese okonamyaki and both tasted pretty good there was no wait time and the inside is spacious with lots of seating so I definitely recommend this spot we went back to the hotel to check in took a little break then we walked around and explored more of Dobururi and Shinsashi two of the most popular shopping and entertainment spots in Osaka my boyfriend wanted some new shoes so we stopped by all the different stores like Adidas Nike and ABC then for dinner we went to Kurasushi it’s really expensive in the US so we love coming here in Japan cuz it’s cheap and fun we also made a reservation online to skip the crazy wait time also I love sushi but my boyfriend doesn’t really like raw fish so it’s great that we can both enjoy it but with more freedom to choose what suits our taste then every night before we go back to the hotel we stop by a combini to pick up the next day’s breakfast i usually get a tamagosando this aloe yogurt with aloe jelly and some kind of onigiri and that’s it for day one follow for day two at Universal Studios

— 4:45pm: Flew Zipair from SFO (San Francisco) to NRT (Tokyo)—about an 11 hr flight ✈️
— 9:30pm (next day): Landed, checked in to Toyoko Inn near Narita airport (w/ free shuttle bus service), grabbed dinner from the Lawson inside the hotel 🍱
— 9:45am (next day): Flew from NRT to KIX (Osaka) ✈️
— 1:00pm: Dropped off bags at Koko Hotel Shinsaibashi 🧳
— 2:00pm: Got okonomiyaki for lunch at Dotonbori Ichiaki 🍽️
— 3:00pm: Went back to hotel for check-in and took a break 😴
— 5:30pm: Shopped and explored Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi 🛍️
— 8:00pm: Dinner at Kura Sushi (make reservations online to skip the wait) 🍣
— 9:30pm: Grab tomorrow’s breakfast at a konbini 🍙

Follow for day 2 tomorrow—we’re going to Universal Studios! 🎡🎢🎟️
