i’m a travel blogger and here are some common mistakes to avoid on your Japan trip number one not booking hotels directly from their official websites while third party platforms might have great deals in other parts of the world it is almost always cheaper to book a Japanese hotel directly on their own website number two purchasing a JR pass with thorough research if you’re not traveling extensively across Japan you might actually be paying more with set pass which is why you want to use a fair calculator to determine whether or not it is worth buying number three not carrying enough cash despite Japan living in the future with its cutting edge innovations the country is surprisingly very cash heavy still make sure you exchange extra money and it’s a good idea to have a coin purse as well number four not renting a pocket Wi-Fi or purchasing an eim if you want to access Google Maps and other internet functions i highly recommend getting yourself an eSIM from a low if you don’t want to make a fool of yourself
