Are you planning your first trip to Japan? We spent two weeks traveling across the country as first- timers and made the mistakes so you don’t have to. Welcome to episode two of our Japan for first timers series where we break down everything into simple bite-sized tips to help you plan your own trip with ease. Today we’re sharing the ultimate twoe Japan itinerary. It covers all the major cities, Kyoto, and Tokyo. Plus easy day trips to Mount Fuji, Kamakura, and Nara. First stop, Asaka for 3 days. Fly into Asaka and base yourself in Namba. It’s central and easy to get around. Spend your days eating and shopping through Donten Brewery, exploring Asaka Castle, checking out temples, and taking a day trip to Nara to see the wild deers. Next up, Kyoto for 4 days. From Aaka, hop on a train is just 45 minutes to Kyoto. Stay in the old town of Gillon for a traditional vibe or near Kyoto station for convenience. You’ll wander through the famous temples, tea houses, food markets, peaceful gardens, and the streets of Gon. Kyoto is slower paced, rich in culture, and honestly one of the most beautiful places in Japan. Final stop, Tokyo for 7 days. From Kyoto, jump on a bullet train to Tokyo. Our top tip, book a lefthand side window seat for a chance to see Mount Fuji on the way. If you want to be in the middle of the action, stay in Shabuya or Shinjjuku. Prefer something quieter, go for a saka or Ginsa. In Tokyo, there’s heaps to do. Visit thei fish market. Check out Team Lab Planets. Head up to Shabuya Sky for epic views. Eat your way through local ramen spots. Explore peaceful city temples and hidden gardens. You’ll also want to squeeze in two easy day trips. One to Kamakura, a beach town 1.5 hours away from Tokyo, and one to the iconic Mount Fuji around 2.5 hours away from Tokyo. Follow along for episode 3, where we share the must do experiences in each
