This Ramen Spot Is an Introvert’s Dream | Ichiran Japan
Welcome to an introvert’s dream in Japan. This is Ichiron Ramen. It’s a very popular chain across Japan. And you order at the front and you get a ticket and a list of customizations before you’re escorted back to your own private booth. They have everything you need, utensils, napkins, a water tap with a cup. They also have a call button so you can use any of these tokens depending on what type of assistance you need and you still don’t have to talk to anyone. A few minutes later, the ramen I ordered was placed through this window and the curtain was closed, which gave me time to be at peace with my thoughts and also my ramen.
No awkward small talk. No eye contact. Just you and a perfect bowl of tonkotsu ramen.
Ichiran in Japan is designed for solo diners who just want peace, quiet, and seriously good food.
Here’s how it works and why it’s a must for introverts visiting Japan.

You say you get your own little space but it looks like the lady in the chair next to you is basically sitting right with you
