pov: Your first ramen in japan #japantravel
It’s your first day in Japan after years of wanting to go. Your first mission trying Ichiri ramen, but you’ve heard so many people say,
“Itchian is so overhyped. This is better ramen in Tokyo.”
Oh, you’ve traveled 10 hours to get here, so that’s not going to stop you. The staff hands you an order sheet. Circle your preference. What do you mean preference? I just want a normal ramen. But you notice they mark their recommendations with a dotted line. Done. Easy. Now, 30 minutes later, you finally make it to the front of the queue. The staff escorts you to your own individual booth. You think, “Wow, this is just like the Tik Toks, but in real life, I’m actually here.” You slide your order sheet and ticket through the hole and in exchange a headless person gives you an egg with that ramen you’ve been waiting years to try. The bamboo curtain closes. Now it’s just you and the ramen. You take your first slurp of the soup and bam, you get hit by the deep porky creamy umami flavor bomb that just warms up your whole body. You think, “This is actually the best ramen I’ve ever had.” But before you even finish that ramen bowl, you’re already thinking about the next meal.
