Japan’s Oceanfront Hot Spring Inn with 24 Hour Free Drinks and Snacks | Inatori Ginsuiso
Today, we’re staying at a seaside inn. On the left side of the train, we have an ocean view! It feels like the tropics. I’m a bit hungry. Edamame-flavored kamaboko. We missed out on the express Odoriko tickets, so we’re on the local train now. It’s a slow but relaxing ride on the local train. Oh, that’s… Izu Oshima Island! We’ve arrived at Izu Inatori Station. It’s a port town on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula. It’s known for its specialty, kinmedai (golden eye snapper). A shuttle bus comes to meet us in time with the train’s arrival. We were welcomed with a hot oshibori. We’re off! It’s just about 5 minutes from the station to the ryokan, so it’s close. We’ve arrived in no time. Thank you very much. Inatori Gin Sui Sou is a historic onsen ryokan, established in 1957. The highlight is the view of Sagami Bay right in front! It feels so refreshing! All guest rooms have an ocean view. It may not look like a traditional Japanese inn, but what about the inside? A Showa-era-style lobby. The ceiling is high, and seasonal Japanese decorations are vibrant and beautiful. I thought we saw these decorations in Yanagawa too. Turns out, both are part of Japan’s Three Great Tsurushi Decorations. And there are tons of koi swimming in the moat surrounding the lobby! Fish food is sold for 100 yen each. I’ll pick the most delicious-looking one. Everyone is gathering now. They’re way too eager to eat! Koi don’t have stomachs, so they’re always hungry. It’s funny and scary at the same time 😂. Seats by the ocean. There’s a souvenir shop at the back. It’s spacious here. They sell a lot of things like miscellaneous goods and snacks. Being near the coast, there are lots of seafood-themed souvenirs. Check-in starts at 2:00 PM, which is a bit earlier than usual. >> Staff: On the 6th floor, there’s a lounge called “Namino-ne.” >> Staff: It’s open 24 hours. >> Staff: You can enjoy free food and drinks during various times of the day. >> Staff: The ‘welcome time’ starts from 2:00 PM. >> Staff: Mandarin orange juice, soft drinks, coffee, draft beer, and cut fruits are available. >> Staff: The elevator is on the far left. Now that we’ve learned something great, let’s head straight to the lounge. It’s lucky that the lounge, dining area, and our room are all on the 6th floor. Oh, there’s a 24-hour lounge. Wow, it looks spacious all the way to the back. The ocean-colored carpet is great. Lounge “Namino-ne.” The view is amazing! There are floor-to-ceiling windows with an ocean view. This is the featured item from 2 PM to 5 PM. Freshly squeezed mandarin orange juice made with Shizuoka mandarins. It’s served in a cold glass. Shizuoka-only draft beer, Shizuoka Beer! There are various snacks available. The local New Summer Orange jelly from East Izu looks delicious. What’s this? Grilled sea bream? Looks tasty. I want to try the apples and kiwi too. This feels great. The jelly is so wobbly. New Summer Oranges taste a bit more sour and refreshing than regular oranges. They’re not just sweet. The perfect warm spring weather☀️! There’s no bottled water in the room, so we take it from the lounge. The lounge has no additional charges, and the menu changes depending on the time of day… so we’ll definitely be coming back again. Our room is at the very end. Room “Yamabuki”: From 46,200 yen (317.81 USD / € 282.48) per person. For some reason, there are two layers of doors. The entrance is so big you could probably lie down and take a nap. Wow. The living room has a modern Japanese style. So spacious. The bedroom is on the right. The view from the room is amazing. It’s a bit windy. This room has a private onsen bath facing the ocean. If you open the window, it’s an open-air bath. The water comes from their own sodium calcium chloride spring. It has a nice hot spring aroma. There’s an electric kettle and cups. Drinks in the fridge are charged. Tea and coffee brewed with hot water are free. The washroom area is over here. There’s also a closet. The bath is also accessible from here. Basic amenities and a ReFa hairdryer. Plenty of skincare products. There’s a convenient vinyl pouch for going to the public bath. Hand towel with the ryokan’s name on it. Yukata are available in 5 cm increments to match your height. Keep your personal treasures in the safe. By the way, where’s the toilet? The door opens in an unexpected way. It’s spacious with a washbasin. It’s time to relax. The sofa is spacious enough to lie on and very comfortable. The sound of the waves makes a wonderful background music. The name of this ryokan, “Ginsuisou,” means “water shining like silver.” And this view is exactly why. We’ve come to the large public bath on the second floor. There’s a hot spring in the room too, but I still want to visit the spacious public bath. The bath is open until 1:00 AM today, and from 5:00 AM tomorrow. It’s not a gender-swapped system; today and tomorrow, the left side is the women’s bath. (Filming with special permission.) Wow, it’s a spacious and clean bath. Of course, it’s from the self-sourced spring. The bathtub is a bit deep, so it warms you to the core. There are plenty of amenities, including shampoo and peeling gel. There’s also a sauna. A stone dry sauna. Oof, it’s hot. When you leave the sauna, there’s a cold plunge bath. Now, let’s head to the open-air bath. It’s huge! The main attraction is definitely this view. The ocean spreads out right in front of you. Kinda feels like people could see you from outside. A small towel is a must to keep yourself covered. But this view is unbeatable! It’s a breathtaking panorama. The spring quality is sodium-calcium-chloride. It’s similar to seawater because it contains salt. It’s known to be good for cuts and burns. And it prevents sweat evaporation, so it’s excellent for warmth retention. The roof keeps it cool, the view is refreshing, and the water feels wonderful. Oh! It’s the Odoriko train👋! It was a great hot spring. By the way, here’s what the men’s open-air bath looks like. Found something nice in the post-bath area. Frozen New Summer Orange jelly! Great match for a warm body. We’re back at the 6th-floor free lounge. From 5:00 PM, non-alcoholic cocktails are served. Oh, I found a New Summer Orange liquor, and it looks good. I’ll have it with soda. There’s also a new snack out! Bonus! My favorite vegetable chips. A butterfly pea tea cocktail. When you add lemon juice, it turns pink. So cute. These tomato chips are super flavorful and really good. But what I got hooked on even more is this. Wasabi-flavored peanuts with a crispy coating. It’s before dinner, so I should be careful not to eat too much, but I can’t stop. It’s time for dinner. The dining area, “Gin no Umi,” is right next to the lounge. >> Staff: Right now, in the center kitchen. >> Staff: We are preparing the main dish, Kinmedai (golden eye snapper). >> Staff: We’ll bring it to you freshly made shortly. Our seat for today is here. It’s a great seat with an ocean view. After using them, the chopsticks are a souvenir you can take home. This is a rare service. It’s a nice touch. They even have the “Gin Sui Sou” name on them. It’s a kaiseki course with a variety of seafood dishes. Our pre-meal drink is plum juice from Izutukigase. It’s not too sweet, just a refreshing taste. The first dish is fava bean tofu. It’s served with uni (sea urchin) and wasabi on the side. It has a taste that feels like spring. The appetizer has arrived. The New Summer Orange dish is so cute. This one has kumquat. The sakura shrimp is enclosed inside. The evening view of the ocean is also beautiful. The water is shimmering silver. It’s luxurious to enjoy the taste of Shizuoka while looking at this ocean. >> Staff: Today’s soup dish is asari manju (clam dumplings). >> Staff: It’s made by mixing asari clams and fish paste. This is seaweed noodles. The fluffy manju has asari clams inside, adding richness and texture. Here comes some beautiful sashimi! There’s a variety of kinds. The Heda Salt has a characteristic sweetness. It pairs perfectly with white fish. Wasabi soy sauce is also, of course, delicious. The sashimi is so fresh. It’s good no matter how you eat it. So happy to have Ise lobster! It’s sticky at first, then sweet and springy when you bite into it. Next, the main dish: Kinmedai! >> Staff: We poured hot oil over the Kinmedai to crisp the scales. >> Staff: It’s smoked with sakura chips. >> Staff: Please enjoy it with wasabi sauce and dried mullet roe powder. The skin is so crispy. The flesh of the Kinmedai is juicy. The wasabi sauce is so good! The plate looks like the ocean, it’s so beautiful. Shizuoka’s Ashitaka beef steak. It’s served with vegetables like mushrooms. The meat is in easy-to-eat bite-sized pieces. It’s served with herb salt and wasabi. It’s tender and has a strong beef flavor, so the simple condiments pair perfectly. So goooood. Here comes the abalone! This is tempura of fish. Have it with Toda salt and lemon. Crispy and freshly fried. The abalone is stewed, it’s thick but tender. The last dish. Miso soup with seaweed and green onions. The pickles are a luxurious assortment of four kinds. Pickles and salted kelp, traditional Japanese side dishes. Through the course, it’s been a delicious meal full of seafood. Thank you for the meal! After finishing your meal, wipe your chopsticks with the provided sheet. Then place them in the box to take home. It’s a delightful souvenir. The dessert is a dessert buffet at the free lounge. It’s fun that the end is all you can eat. There’s a variety of Japanese and Western sweets. Bonus! There’s even ice cream. Dessert is served at the lounge, not the restaurant. So it’s nice to enjoy it while relaxing and chatting. Today, I’ve eaten a lot of citrus fruits. I’ve gotten plenty of Vitamin C. Came to the M2 floor to play some ping pong. Wait, is that a small arcade? It’s kind of retro and nice. The table tennis is in the back. Free, no reservation… and still no one’s here. Feels like a hidden gem. Let’s have a match! After dessert time, the lounge becomes a bar. There’s a variety of drinks like whiskey. It’s amazing. There are snacks too. We came to try the limited-time cocktail “Namino-shizuku.” It’s a beautiful blue drink. The cherry is non-alcoholic, and the lemon is alcoholic. It’s quite sour and refreshing. The lounge menu changes depending on the time of day, but we’ve almost had it all. We are back in the room. The bedroom is surrounded by sliding doors. Close all the doors and no light comes in. You’ll sleep so well. Also, the bed is from Simmons. Good night. Good morning. We came outside to watch the sunrise. It’s cold, but the view is absolutely beautiful. Izu Oshima is turning orange as the sun rises. The sun is peeking out from behind the rocks. In the middle of winter, you can see the sun rise from the sea. It’s time for breakfast. We’re in the same restaurant as last night. But this morning, it’s everyone’s favorite buffet style. Cold items are placed on ice,. and hot items are kept warm. There are plenty of classics, like onsen eggs and various salads. Some items are cooked right in front of you. The thick tamagoyaki is a sweet, dashi-based type. Watching them cook it in front of you just makes it taste better. Izu’s specialty, ika menchi (squid croquette). Mishima croquettes, in a small size. Pork sausages from Gotemba Kogen. Seafood miso soup. Oh, Ise lobster! I also want tuna. A mysterious round balloon. There are also sweet treats like French toast and soft serve ice cream. So, my husband and I ended up with totally different breakfasts. The mystery balloon is… It looks like a seal. It’s a tofu with a strong sesame flavor. Some casual local dishes like this weren’t served at dinner,. so we’re happy we got to try them at breakfast. It’s great to enjoy a meal while looking at the sea, anytime. Delicious. Thank you for the meal! The free lounge changes its menu again in the morning. Coffee and New Summer Vinegar soda. It’s just the right drink for this time of day. Check-out is usually at 10 AM. We received a cute amulet during checkout. Thank you for watching until the end! I read all your comments! Thank you, as always. See you next time🐰🐰

Such a beautiful location and wonderful onsen!! Thank you for sharing. One question I have is do Asian couples always sleep in separate beds?
❤❤ would love to go there one day
Thank you once more time for this beautiful video!! The color of the sea is amazing!! (everything is🤩) 🤗
The beach is always an interesting place to visit, even though my island of Bali is already overflowing with the beauty of its various beaches, but this inn is also worth visiting sometime in the future❤

That colorful sunrise with the water calming my mind. When you said it was cold but beautiful I felt that inside like a cool breeze flushed past me. I suppose it's because my fan is on in my room but it helped 😂 Also side note even though i absolutely stink at any sports at activities I now wanna play ping pong. ☺️
your nails are so cute!! love the design as well as the colors. 😻 ironically my cat joined my viewing of your video this time: she sat right in front of the monitor between me and the screen. made it a bit difficult to read the subtitles, but she was highly interested in the drinks you guys got in the lounge before going to dinner. 🤣🤣 i loved the shot of the other guests out on the walkway making recordings when you sat down for dinner. the little jump was cute and funny. 😂 what a lovely, lovely ryokan. despite being someone who lives near beaches, i must admit its a theme i never get tired of. 🐚🌊🌴 theres just something extra calming and fulfilling about being in the open air near the sea. 😌 the views at this ryokan were incredible!! this would definitely be a place i would want to stay if i ever visited Japan. thank you as always for sharing!! 💙☀

Many movies on this hotel.
This place looks really fun to visit! Makes me want to go there…
Why there are so many hotels in Japan with the ocean view but with no direct access to the ocean? 🙁
