The truth about renting in Japan

  1. True Japanese Landlords expect to get paid atleast 6 months Gratuity amount of the rent (non-refundable) and another 6 months worth of rent for Key money.
(Normal & non-refundable) So if one encounters other deals & living conditions, it's not by True Japanese.

  2. It's really interesting how some things are pretty similar and other totally different.
In germany we also do have a noise curfew but it's starts at 10pm. But people do also call the cops if you are too loud. The difference are the walls. We have really thick walls that sadly don't cancel as much noise as you would like to but I think they help more than the walls you mentioned in the Video.

  3. Osaka. residential area
All night noisy vendiors sell sweet potatoes. Chestnuts . Dont live near a bar. Men pee outside and throwup

  4. How do people have trouble finding a place to rent when you can literally just google "japan rent" and be directed to websites showing places that accept foreigners…

  5. Thanks for your honesty. I wish you were around years ago when I first moved there to warn me. I agree with about 95% of what you say. Many of the people that trash you have never even been to Japan.

  6. I live in Japan I have a house here and I live in Osaka sometimes I go to visit kyoto and Tokyo I also went to usa to learn English for 3 years I managed to get the hang of it.

  7. No noise after 8:00? What happened to the 9:00 claim? If you are going to lie, be consistent. The police will not be called. There is no fine.

  8. I am a foreigner looking to live there for a bit and would really prefer to just rent a house, not apartment to avoid the noisy neighbor problem. I love the quiet and hate hearing people through the walls.

  9. I watch movies and play games until like 1AM, I have sex a few times a week and I don’t care if my neighbours hear

  10. I’m living in a house with 6 people and am very very quiet. My roommate that lives below me doesn’t even know when I’m home or not he says I’m like a ninja. I like to watch anime early in the am before work and at night but can easily wear headphones if the tv is too loud. Everyone I’ve lived with says I’m very respectful and a perfect roommate so to speak. I really hope these landlords notice this when I eventually move to Japan. Out of every place in the world I feel drawn and connected to japan. I feel it in my heart and love the cities and all the people. They work hard and create so many nice things that I love and I respect that so much.

  11. Can we get rid of her? I lived in Japan for twenty years and I can tell you that 90% of what she claims is true about Japan is dead wrong. Besides, she looks like a weird cringeworthy anime character.
