Yamagata to Tokyo by local trains 🤨
[Music] hello again everyone I’m in Yanisawa today and this is 2025 January 1st We spent last night in Yonisawa on December 31st and it was snowing all night But it was all worth it when we see the beautiful scenery from my hotel window I think it’s still snowing a little bit but we are so happy because we came to Yunisawa in Yamagata Prefecture just to see this kind of heavy snowfall because in Tokyo we don’t see these kind of heavy snowfalls that much So we are planning to go outside after getting the breakfast We are going to see all these beautiful scenery in Yamagata Prefecture In the New Year’s vacation period almost all streets in Japan gets empty because most people like to celebrate the new year with their families and loved ones However Yanasur is a calm and less populated city because of heavy snowfalls in the winter You know young people try to move towards Tokyo for better opportunities In my last video I talked about abandoned train line due to depopulation of the countryside in Japan Of course that was the train line connected Nikata Prefecture to Yunisawa Prefecture Okay so that’s it about Yunisawa And this is the time for us to play with the snow [Music] And after taking thousands of pictures of the snow finally we reached to Uetsy Shrine which is a popular shrine in Yonisawa Sugi used to be a popular leader in the ancient times in Japan After his death this shrine was built for his name We came to this shrine because this is January 1st It’s a big custom in Japan People go to shrine or temple in the morning of January 1st to get the blessing for the new year We also came here to get the blessing but looks like there are so many people since our schedule is pretty packed because we need to catch the train from Yanuzawa Maybe we just look around and go back to the station [Music] We came back to the station Need to catch the train from here Before that we tried to find some yon sawa beef for the lunch But as I told you before this is January 1st Almost every restaurant was closed So this train lunch box with Jonisawa gift is our only option for the lunch And here it is This is the local train that take us to Fukushima Since we are using station Juhaji ticket which allow us only use local trains Our journey from Yanisawa to Tokyo will be a very long one I know this sounds like really annoying if you don’t like really long train rides But for us it’s not a big problem because this is one of the best way to see the local side of Japan for a very cheaper price So it’s time for us to sit back relax and enjoy the scenery [Music] [Music] After 3 hours of the journey we came to Fukushima already Since it takes more than 1 hour to get the next train we decided to go outside from the station Looks like they have beautifully decorated everything for the winter So having nice evening cup of coffee we decided to get back to the station and get the train from Fukushima to Tochigi Perfecture You know all these things sounds like very tiring I know but actually it’s not at least not for us because this is a very different experience slowly exploring super countryside parts of Japan This is not unlike any other experience you get when you use Chinkansen [Music] What I want to do [Music] service [Music] [Music] Here [Music] [Music] [Music] we came to the city called Shinshurakawa It took 5 hours for us to come from Yonisawa to Shinshurakawa And you know what still we are in Fukushima Prefecture To go home from here it will take four more hours During this five hours journey we really enjoyed the scenery But now it’s got darker so it’s time to finish this video We started this trip from Shinjuku and went to Nigata and Yonisawa and then came back to Shinjuku station Thank you very much for enjoying our 3 days trip If you enjoyed the video hit the like button and subscribe my channel for more videos Have a nice time
