How to win the lottery 💰 Part 3 of our adventures at the Osaka World Expo 2025! 🇯🇵

Many of the best pavilions at the Osaka World Expo are reservation only, and the main way to get one is through the lottery. Winning the lottery takes luck 🌟, but also strategy, so here are our best tips so you can win reservations ⬇️

1. 🎟️ Buy tickets 3 months early so you’ll get 3 chances at the lottery: 2 month lottery, 7 day lottery, and 3 days before
2. ⏰ Choose pavilion times between 12 – 5 PM for the lottery as it’s the busiest time of day for walk-ins
3. 💻 If you’re putting the same pavilion down multiple times, put times 2 hours apart because the system will consider you for times an hour before and after
4. 🌙 The 3 day lottery is first come first serve so log in at 11PM JST so you’re not stuck in the queue to access the site
5. 📅 Pay attention to lottery timing. The 2 month lottery opens the month before, and closes one day before the 2 month mark Japan time so you’ll need to finalize your list by then
6. 🏆 You can win a max of 3 reservations, one from each lottery round
7. ✌️ You can also win same day reservations – we’ll talk about in a later video

Without reservations for some pavilions, you won’t be able to see them since there are no walk-in lines! 😱

Our favorite reservation only pavilions were: Gundam, Earth Mart, Kansai, and Future of Life. We wish we had gotten Osaka Healthcare Reborn and Sumitomo!
