Let’s try food in Japan Kyoto edition. Tourists flock to Kyoto for the historical shrines, but the streets going up are full of unique Kyoto eats and snacks. First, I tried yatsuhashi, which is like machi but in a flatfolded form. Lots of flavors to choose from with free tastes, and they’re sweet and chewy, and I loved it. Then, this octopus and scallion ball skewer was so crunchy and savory. Next up, this matcha cream puff was a bit hard to eat at first because of its weird shape, but the rich matcha filling made the struggle worth it. Then this chestnut dauku was cooling and not too sweet, so it became one of my faves. Classic mitarashi dango was delicious, but a challenge to chew. Finally, the macarel sushi was surprisingly yummy, and I could have eaten a lot more of
