Extreme Nap on the Japanese Local Ferry from Yawatahama to Beppu (Huge Special Cabin)

I’m taking the Uwajima Unyu Ferry from Yawatahama to Beppu. This Japanese local ferry offers a surprisingly huge cabin despite being a less than 3-hour journey.

  1. The way I knew you were getting a curry when you pulled up to that restaurant before you even said what was on the menu

  2. Well, there is one our local company bought a similar ship for transporting people, and trucks between islands. The ships are queen soya and prince soya.

I think they were made in Japan.

  3. No amenities? No shower? Yes I am singing the Sunflower song. I would love to get a copy of it in Japanese and English. Greetings from Canada.

  4. Great trip. This is huge for that short duration of sailing, unless if you bring some group or family inside. It's great they offer late night sailing and can stay until morning, but yeah you can't open the curtain, so you need to public space to enjoy the view.

  5. Hello my friend nice to see you again,as usual I enjoyed the video .Sunflower Sunflower da de da 🎢🎢 looking forward to your next video especially if it’s on the Sunflower ferry πŸŽΆπŸ’œ

  6. I love Indian curry. Rash Behari Bose helped to create one of the greatest commoner dishes in the world – Japanese style curry with rice.

  7. I can't wait until your next Sunflower Cruise and we get to hear that wonderful song! I LOVE ❀ THE SUNFLOWER SONG, AND I CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR IT SOON AGAIN! I love your vids! They are like ASMR, and are very calming and relaxing! Thanks for the great videos!

  8. For a local ferry, the Akatsuki Maru is a nice ferry! Good facilities too.

FYI: Yawatahama was one of the locations featured in the 2022 anime movie Suzume no Tojimari. It actually featured the old ferry terminal building (demolished before the movie), together with the Orange Ferry vessel Orange Shikoku.

(I'm now watching your video after I received on my Google feed the news that the ex-New Suzuran of Shin Nihonkai Ferry (the now ex-Kriti I of ANEK Lines of Greece) is being towed to Aliaga in Turkiye to be cut up into the proverbial razor blades…)

  9. i was singing Sunflower as soon as I saw the logo on the side XD that ferry looks amazing if you judge your times correctly. And that vindaloo looked amazing!

  10. Interesting. It would certainly make more sense to take this late at night if they let you stay on board. Cheaper than a hotel and nice cabin.

  11. "Great harmony of spices and a gentle acidity." I don't think the restaurant knows what Vindaloo means.

  12. That's a nice looking ferry, elegantly modern, and they use the space quite well.
As soon as you saw the Coca Cola cup, you had to know that the "mocha" was not going to be very good.

  13. Loved this. Think-you for letting me live vicariously through you. Curry looked good. My youngest son makes curry often. I love it. His is more an Indian curry. Serves it with naan bread. Love your videos. Room was nice.

  14. WOOHOO, another trip. Let me grab some snacks kick back in my recliner and let's head out

  15. Very nice short trip. Surprising they have beds for an afternoon nap, very accomodating. I didn't really like the hotel with the rooms and restaurant in different buildings but perhaps in better weather it is ok. Thanks for taking us though it was a different experience for sure.

  16. Your videos are so calming they cure my insomnia. I can sleep perfectly after watching! Keep up the great work and don’t stop exploring!

  17. I cooked japanese curry for the first time today because you eat it in nearly every one of your videos. It was incredible and now I want to eat it all the time.

  18. there was nothing extreme about this. its all just slow and steady ship sailing. nothing extrordinary here.
