宮城県富谷市の志戸田地区で田植えが始まる前の5月上旬頃に開催している田園ランタン祭りは、協業組合 富谷環境が主催となり、同敷地内で行われているイベントです。
リサイクルろうそく2000本とペットボトルやプラスチック容器を使用した手作りランタンや、イルミネーションも設置した水田や通路などが温かく幻想的な光に包まれます。
会場のビニールハウス内では、豚汁やポップコーン・焼きそば・焼き鳥等の販売、ビニールハウス裏のステージ上ではエコ戦隊カンキョウマンショーやジャンケン大会等が催されます。
The Rural Lantern Festival, held around the beginning of May, in the Shidoda area of Tomiya City, Miyagi Prefecture, is an event sponsored by the cooperative association Tomiya Environment and held on the same site. Hand-made lanterns using 2,000 recycled candles, plastic bottles and plastic containers, and paddy fields and walkways equipped with illuminations are illuminated brightly.
