Spec R vs Spec S. Do we think the Spec S will reach the same unobtainably expensive prices as Spec Rs are fetching, or will they always be cheap and easy to get hold of?

The price will always lag behind the spec R but it’s inevitable that the price will increase over time as collectors snatch them up / they die

The cheapest option is probably getting a non turbo automatic. But they might go the same direction of automatic Skyline, people buy it for the body and then swap everything. A four door NA automatic R34 is about $20K+, I bought mine for $4K.

Interestingly in Australia the Spec S also came with the SR20DET engine, though obviously not the brembos, 6 speed, or slightly nicer interior.

So here at least I think they’ll probably remain comparable, although slightly cheaper, but I’m not sure if it will be “cheap and easy” to get ahold of as you say

Decent condition Spec-S are harder to come by these days in Japan most are already pushing 20k+ with the shipping
