Hey all, I am designing a body kit for a Peugeot 406 aand other cars inspired by the bosozoku style. my only worry is that the bonnet sticking out forward may not be legal in uk or eu… Not a JDM car but Jap kit … i know…
any insight would be useful thank you 🙂

I think it’s illegal to have something protruding which could harm a pedestrian in the UK. So really long splitters are not allowed I think. This is from memory so probably wrong!
This is a sick idea though, love the 406 since watching Taxi when I was a kid. It’ll look amazing!
Man, that would be sick! But I wouldn’t be surprised if it was illegal! All the fun, awesome things seem to be!

I can 100% vouch for being crucified for this by the German TÜV.
TÜV sagt nein
Should be illegal no matter where you are
Each EU country has their own rules, but in The Netherlands ‘sharp objects’ and wheels/tires are not allowed to stick out from the bodylines.
So basically means the entire outer perimiter of the body has to be ‘smooth’.
Same reason the cybertruck isn’t road legal in my country.
ricer alert
In the UK, it would be illegal as doing so would fail the MOT, the bonnet would fail it plus any sharp bits (the same reason why vehicles can be failed for crash damage), while it would be okay on a show car, driving this around wouldn’t be viable.
I can’t say for other EU countries but I’m sure this would fail in Poland as well.
i love JDM culture but that has to be one of the worst styles ever….its unique but absolutly clownish….those cars do not deserve that
Vaguely recall a certain trim of the camero not being able to be sold in the eu for this reason, don’t quote me though
