  2. I see you experimenting with your editing style πŸ‘πŸΌ im here for it! This video was exactly what ive been looking for. Thanks!

  3. at 10:00 when you were talking about Uber, me and my friends didn't actually realize that when we were in Osaka, we ended up using Uber on my friends phone and were able to get a taxi really quickly (back in last August) so even if there aren't as many taxis in the system it still seems to work pretty well in a pinch~

  4. I used google translate, google maps, klook and my travel money card app. That’s all I used in 3 weeks. I tried downloading a taxi app but it needed a Japanese phone number or something. I didn’t find it hard to find taxis anyway.

  5. So much good info here I stopped making notes and just copied the link to watch again when I am getting ready to go next year. ! Hilarious about the restaurant ratings, but totally the kind of information I am looking for, thank you so much! I'm a former longtime expat myself, deeply impressed with your work and the way you represent.

  6. Thank you! I could have used Payke yesterday – at least I managed to buy the correct item this go round. Last year when I was here I needed lotion and ended up buying body wash. πŸ˜‚

  7. Thank you for the Bounce app!!! I was wondering if there was something to see the lockers at stations etc

  8. We used the Uber app to reserve an early morning taxi to Itami from downtown Osaka last summer. It worked great for us. Anyone who has the Uber app should have no trouble using it in Japan. It will hail an Uber taxi for you, rather than a private ride share driver. That's really the only difference. It's just as convenient as you're used to. I will make a point to try the Go app next time I have a chance to visit Japan, though.

For vegetarians and vegans, there is an app called HappyCow that will help you find vegan an vegetarian dining options near you as you travel.

Thank you, Allison. Great content as usual!

  9. Wowee looking so beautiful, Ms. Allison!!! I like your color chart appointment wow I see a difference!!

  10. Thank you! Good to know good apps to help translate (love the bar code reader), get around and eat! ; )πŸš†πŸšπŸ²πŸ₯«πŸ₯˜

  11. Pretty sure Go Taxi we have to put in our Japanese Number for it to work.

I would definitely recommend DeepL. You can actually talk into it and translate. Same for whoever you might interact with.

Pretty sure Tablelog is Japanese region app also… I could be wrong.

Thanks for inspiring me to move to Japan. Been living here a month in a student visa learning ζ—₯本θͺž
