Discover the Togakushi Shrine ⛩️ 🤩

Nestled in the mountains of Nagano, this shrine is a sacred place surrounded by many legends ✨ This site consists of five shrines scattered in the heart of a majestic forest of hundred-year-old cedars. 🌲

Associated with Japanese mythology, it is reputed to be linked to the sun goddess, Amaterasu, and the story of the hidden celestial gate (Togakure) 🌞

If you like hiking, don’t hesitate to visit this sanctuary in the middle of nature, which is even more impressive in winter!

To get there from Tokyo, take the Hokuriku shinkansen to Nagano station (1h30), then take a bus to Okusha-iriguchi (1h).
