Nagano Japan including Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park and Zenkoji Temple

We really enjoyed our time in Nagano, our favorite part of this journey was visiting the Jigokudani Monkey Park aka Snow Monkey Park. It was a wonderful experience to walk amongst these amazing animals.
The cost to enter Snow Monkey Park is approximately 600Yen which is less than six U.S. Dollars.
After taking a bus from the Nagano Station there is a shuttle that can take you to the parking lot just outside of the trail entrance. We chose to walk, it was a paved road and about 1/2 mile uphill. From the entrance to the trail it is 1.6 Kilometers or about a mile. The trail can be quite a climb in places and narrow in a few spots but for the most part it was fairly easy to maneuver. ( And I’m not a hill climber lol )
