I live in Ueno, Asakusa and Ueno is great to stay especially for people who wanna feel the atmosphere of AUTHENTIC JAPAN!! I like this area as a citizen as well.

Great video! I went to Japan when I was in my early 20s and I think we paid like $200 for a hotel room in Tokyo, which was WAY beyond my price range. At the time, I think the yen was roughly 100:1 with the USD. Luckily a friend was living in Yokohama, so we saved some on accommodation, but the train, accommodation and activities did add up fast! I am planning to possibly go back next year, but am not sure if I will go to Toyko again, aside from maybe a night or two on my way to somewhere else. Thanks for the breakdown!
