I grew up in Kobe and there is a lovely onsen on the other side of Rokko mountains from Kobe called Arima Onsen. As a young man, I used to hike there from my house in Kobe. Check it out!

I once went to an onsen in Tokyo. at first i thought it was very odd as i never am naked in front of so many other naked people. Then letting all inhibitions go, i just zoned out and end up sitting in a tub and well relaxed.
Such a beautiful village. I missed where it was. That's the kind of place/travel I like.
Quiet, peaceful no crowds, authentic lifestyle experiences.
Only problem with many of these is the dual occupancy requirements. I pretty much always role solo.
Still if I ever make it over to Japan I would love to visit there. Great video Alley❤

What a quiet little place. It's beautiful, and way to have amazing outlook. I know if that was me I would be freaking out. But you are right, all how you take it and I know I wouldn't be taking it well. At least you have your hotel covered. That was very sweet of those people to give you 10k yen.
