The Vande Bharat Express connecting Katra to Srinagar is set to revolutionize railway travel in Jammu and Kashmir! Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 19, 2025, this historic rail service marks the completion of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project.
Key Highlights:
• Route: Katra → Udhampur → Banihal → Qazigund → Anantnag → Awantipora → Baramulla
• Timings: Departs Katra at 8:10 AM and reaches Baramulla by 11:20 AM. Return from Baramulla at 8:55 AM reaching Katra at 12:05 PM.
• Frequency: Operating 6 days a week (Daytime only for security reasons).
• Fares:
• AC Chair Car: ₹1,500 – ₹1,700
• Executive Chair Car: ₹2,200 – ₹2,600
Engineering Marvels Along the Route:
• Chenab Bridge: World’s highest railway bridge.
• Anji Khad Bridge: India’s first cable-stayed rail bridge.
• T-49 Tunnel: India’s longest transportation tunnel.

No its not katra to udhampur,its katra to reasi then bakkal and twords bnihal.
1500 रूपये मे 3rd AC का सफर जम्मू to delhi कर सकते है….. फिर यहां मात्र 150 km के लिए इतना महंगा टिकट क्यों रखा गया है…. जो कश्मीर के भाई लोग है क्या वो सभी लोग इस महंगी ट्रेन मे यात्रा कर पाएंगे????
लोकल ट्रेन का भी opening होना चाहिए…. जो लोकल ट्रेन बरामुला से बनिहाल तक जा रही है उन सभी लोकल ट्रेन को baramula to jammu तक होना चाहिए
