  1. Hi Sunny
    Thank you for creating
    this really informative video.
We are now planning our first visit to Japan so your beautiful video is just what we needed.

  2. Thank you so much for your posting!
I agree with you that May & October are good season to trip (Summer in Japan is too hot & humidity🥵)

  3. Random question in some of your footage in previous videos you showcase Hotel Brighton. Did you grow up in the south east? I lived on Bay St. wild.

  5. I will arrive right at the start of the golden week 👍 But I will only visit the Miyako Odori in Kyoto and then go to Tokushima and do a pilgrimage for 4 weeks. And I have already booked hotels for the first week.

  6. Unfortunately I’m going to go during golden week🥲 BUT I’ve heard that it doesn’t impact Tokyo that much since the golden week usually ”empties out” the city for residents to travel to spots like Kyoto and other parts of Japan. Is this true?

Or is it simply because Tokyo is so large you generally don’t notice it?

  7. I’m now studying in Brisbane but this video made me wanna go back to Japan even for a few weeks 😂 There’s so many places to visit!!!

  8. Hi Sunny. Regarding fruit, I think I understand the slightly different attitude Japanese people have [and it occurs to me that part of "the problem" might simply be a logical consequence of that Japanese higher expectation of excellence in most endeavours or outputs, including farmers], but what if one doesn't need the biggest, "awesomest", sweetest bunch of grapes, or pears or peaches?… 🍇🍐🍑
In this time you've lived there, have you come across or directed to places where one can buy more average quality fruit (ie, without having to sell a kidney for it?)
(…other than going fully "inaka" and buying directly from producers, obvs. And even that would probably not be that effective in many cases I suspect) 🙇‍♂

  9. Great video. On 'Getting around', it's worth including luggage forwarding services/TaQBin as it radically changes how a trip might look.

  12. I don’t speak Japanese and only know a few phrases here and there, and Japanese people are way more receptive to you if they see that you are trying to speak a bit of Japanese. I think this is probably true for any country where English isn’t the main language. It’s a sign of respect to the locals to try to speak their language, however badly you fumble it 😂

For getting around, I would absolutely recommend getting the regional rail passes. The nationwide JR pass isn’t worth it. Last year I used the JR East Tohoku pass, and this year I used the JR West All Area and Kansai Wide passes. I saved a pretty good amount of money this way compared to buying individual tickets.

I would 100% recommend Yamato delivery service to ship your large suitcase from one city to the next. It saves a lot of hassle for yourself and the people around you. I’ve used this service 4 times and it’s flawless each time. I sent my suitcase from Family Mart twice, and the fees are the same anywhere you send it from (whether it’s hotel or konbini), because fees are based on distance and size + weight. You can check the yamato website for this since they can quote you the exact amount.

  13. Highly informative and absolutely clear presented video, well done ✅👍✅.

I have query from the video and would appreciate your response solely based on personal experience only:

    * Food in general is fried a lot and veggies are somewhat missing (unless it's ramen/noodle, Okonomiyaki) is there a culture for eating salads in Tokyo, Osaka etc and do you get healthy options for salads in Konbini.

    * Is Golden Gai area more hype or actual worth (for foodies).

    * If you been to USJ lately and is it any good if someone from FL wants to go.

    Thanks I'm advance

If you have trouble eating your meal, it will not be as tasty as you would like😅💦Therefore, I recommend that you get used to using chopsticks😎🥢

  16. With over a billion content online about Japan.. you do an amazing job explaining and breaking things down so they are easier to digest.. 🏆🥇

  17. Such a good video! We’re coming to Japan towards the end of May and I cannot wait 🥲 I’ve found your channel so informative, thank you!

  18. Sunny in Japan…. 🇯🇵 is the future!
I have a flight to Japan in less than 10 hours and now I’m ready hmph! 😤 ready for some delicious ramen 🍜
