  1. Why is it so difficult to respect others today? It is so simple. You have money to go somewhere and you should have some manners too.

  2. Hmm…true your country , your rule. Can totally respect that. But you need to accommodate, when you want to bring in tourists from all over the world to see your counrty, and witness your culture. People who live completely different most likely have no idea of the rules and may not respect the culture. Instead of leaning so hard on tourists, maybe dealing with Japan's social issues should be handled first. For what we hear a lot on social media, Japan has a poor work environment, low birth rate, and a big generation gap with ideals between the youth and the elderly. Every country needs multiple streams of income to make the economy work the best way for them. Can you tell us if the issues we hear on social media are true? What would you bring to light to inform us better about Japan.

  3. They're tourist. They also have their own culture. You can't magically change that.

So unless they're very rude or generally inappropriate by the global standard. It's just a problem of EGO.

I mean you can't expect me to know how many times to clap or bow in a shinto shrine or where not to walk or go of there's no sign that I can read and understand.

But tourists should also read the room. For example… Oh, look! A geisha. Let me ask to take a picture with her. Why is she evading me? Why is she not talking?

Instead of chasing and keep trying to take photos wouldn't it be the logical thing to stop and thought… Huh, maybe they're not allowed to or it's culturally inappropriate here. Then procees to say sorry and leave, then learn more about it.

    It's just common sense.

  4. I went bc the plane ticket was cheap and theres other cheap options. I really didnt spend that much in japanโ€ฆ.

  5. I believe that too, if you go to somebody's home respect the home. Are you going to somebody else's country?Learn a little bit of the culture and how they operate.I respect respect respect

  6. My country also has a lot of tourism, so i understand both sides. I like that ppl are coming to and enjoying my country, but remember that the locals are just going about their day, and they have jobs and places to be. It's really annoying when groups of tourists block out entries, narrow streets, or stop in the middle of a busy street to take pictures instead of stepping to the side to let others pass. One time i lost my metro because a couple with huge bags were taking up the whole escalator, instead of standing on the right. Please respect local etiquette and dont be a nuisance to locals, especially at rush hour. Asides from that, enjoy your stay!
