Her First Gravel Ride [Cycling in Japan] Tenryu 天竜 Adventure Ride

Today we’re going gravel road hunting in Tenryu Japan. It’s my wife’s first ever gravel ride, and I may or may not have told her about all the climbing there would be today.

Most roads in Japan are actually paved, which is why road bike riding is so popular, but there are actual some gravel roads around if you know the right places to look. They tend to be only in the mountains though, so they usually involve some climbing.

We had a great ride today cycling around the scenic town of Tenryu in Shizuoka, Japan.
